I like Zeldq but not with Rose.

The repetition of zzzzz is q bit much, plus, it's a bit double gypsy in its vibe. Gypsy Rose Lee. Id keep them separate.

Zelda Joy
Zelda Faith
Zelda Lily
Zelda Niamh
Zelda Maeve
Zelda Mary

Those flow better imo

DontBeMean · 27/02/2022 17:00

I think of the Zelda. It's not the worse thing to think of though.

Zillamop · 27/02/2022 16:37

It sounds like it's short for Griselda which reminds me of gristle and grizzling.

ihatesoaps · 27/02/2022 15:46

Prisoner of Zelda! Just no!!!

Fuuuuuckit · 27/02/2022 15:45

@poodlepoop

From terrahawks?
My first thought. She'll grow into it by the time she reaches about 118 years old...
ISpyCobraKai · 27/02/2022 15:38

Dd's cat is named Zelda after the game, so I just think of that.

SleepingStandingUp · 27/02/2022 15:36

Love it.

And if she's really not a Zelda she has a beautiful but safe middle name

BattMerry · 27/02/2022 15:36

I like it! My husband likes it because of the game, but i think of Sabrina the Teenage Witch (i loved Aunt Zelda!).

It's a nice unusual name without being too out there. Rose is a common middle name, but I think it pairs beautifully together.

At the end of the day, it'd be so boring if we all liked and disliked the same names; choose something that feels right to you and you can't go wrong xx

ThatsNotMyGolem · 27/02/2022 15:15

I love it!

I know two little Zeldas.

TheMagpie · 27/02/2022 12:30

Zelda is a lovely Jewish name, I know the sweetest lady named Zelda. She's about 90 and is full of great stories and jokes.

Rose is boring for a middle name.

KirstenBlest · 27/02/2022 12:27

Rose is a filler middler name - every other little girl is something Rose.
Zelda is a bit different

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/02/2022 10:13

I like Zelda! It fits in with the early 20thc revival names, and Zelda is going to grow into a punchy and fascinating woman. It make me think of Zelda Fitzgerald and the Jazz age.

It does go nicely with Rose but it’s a pity to reduce the impact with such an overused middle name, so I’d find something else if you can - Zelda Violet, Zelda Margot, Zelda Frances, Zelda Constance..

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 27/02/2022 08:38

Terrahawks!!

ISmellBurnings · 27/02/2022 08:37

Bored of Rose as a middle name, it’s just a filler name for girls currently along with Grace/May.

Not a fan of Zelda and it reminds me of Terrahawks still. Showing my age.

Synchrony · 27/02/2022 08:04

I think it's fabulous. I think of a film star.

Galvantula · 27/02/2022 06:48

Terrahawks for me too. Blush

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 27/02/2022 06:25

I hate gaming and I immediately think Legends of Zelda.

Kanaloa · 27/02/2022 06:18

I would just think if the video game. I think it’s one of those names that is really over strongly linked to one thing so wouldn’t use it for that reason.

Shainago · 27/02/2022 03:01

Zelda from Pet Sematary comes to my mind

alwayscrashinginthesamecar1 · 27/02/2022 02:56

I would assume I had to cross her palm with silver. It also sounds like a stripper's name. So its a hard pass from me.

Lululoveslife · 27/02/2022 02:41

Not a fan at all and Rose is such a default middle name.

Dinoteeth · 27/02/2022 01:53

Legends of Zelda, I'd assume you are serious gamers.

Rose is lovely though

Zillamop · 27/02/2022 01:47

Fortune teller.

alexdgr8 · 27/02/2022 00:59

sounds like a fortune teller, in a little tent at a fun fair, with a crystal ball, asking you to cross her palm with silver.
so it's a no from me.

Classica · 27/02/2022 00:47

And Zelda Fitzgerald had a bit of a shit time of it. Hmmm.

I still like it though.
