Oscar?

Second baby boy due in a couple of weeks and we think we are set on Oscar.

I really like it but it seems to be quite a Marmite name. Every time I say it, I have a tiny niggle that it’s not right but we can’t find a name we prefer.

What is your initial reaction to Oscar? I know it was very popular/over done but I’ve never actually met one, so the popularity doesn’t really bother me.

It's a lovely name. Only one in my sons year at school

Love it, it's great. Only one in dcs school year so not crazy popular. If you're not sure how about these names I think have a similar feel

Nice name but very popular in SE London at least. 50% (3) of the boys on my nct group in 2020 were named Oscar.

Oscar is the 7th most popular boys name in the UK so I don't think it's popularity has dropped down that much. Saying that it's a great name and names are popular for a reason. I love it.

It's nice. It was very popular about 10 years ago but seems to have dropped a bit.

Tbh, wait now until he's here. It might be the perfect name for him or it might not.
