Of the two, Charlie. Being old fashioned I'd want the more dignified Charles on the bc as I'm not a fan of diminutives as standalone names.

Definitely not Freddie, even if short for Frederick. It's such an unattractive name to me (sorry)

Proud owner of a Freddie, but always loved Charlie too. I would say there are less Charlies around, so it depends if you’re bothered about popularity. Also, depends on your surname and which sounds best I think
