Tegan

I have a Tara and want to stick with a T name. Leaning towards Tegan but also like Trinity and Trudy

Tegan is, shall we say, the opposite of posh. If you don’t care about that, fine, but people will judge.
Tia or Tilly (Matilda) are both nicer.

Cheekypeach · 18/02/2022 19:36

Love it. Gorgeous name

user1493494961 · 18/02/2022 19:35

Tegan and Trinity are awful. If you're desperate for a 'T' name, Thea is nice.

I've always thought of Tegan as a bit downmarket sorry

Thea pronounced Tay-a
Tessa
Tilly
Talia
Therese

Tegan: awful. The type of name a Kardashian would choose.

Trinity: religious connotation or a Matrix reference, not good either way...

Trudy: old fashioned

Trina: odd...

Sorry but there are many nicer names starting with a T.

No!

HopefulProcrastinator · 18/02/2022 19:20

Tegan means toy in Welsh so I'd avoid just because of that...but we are in Wales.

daisypond · 18/02/2022 19:19

I don’t mind Tegan, but it means toy, and it puts me off. Also, the anglicised pronunciation is different to the correct Welsh. However, I quite like Trudy - better if it was short for something. Trinity is very odd. I’d assume very evangelical religious.

Downtownmarjoriebrown · 18/02/2022 19:16

Tegan, and similar names like Ragan, seemed to have a surge in popularity perhaps 15 years ago - those girls are now high school age. Not that I think that's a bad thing necessarily, just an observation!

SpikeySmooth · 18/02/2022 19:15

Trudy (autocorrect)

SpikeySmooth · 18/02/2022 19:14

Tegan is a bit passé now. I think a lot of Tegans were born in the 90s. It sounds quite a harsh name too.

Truly is also quite out of fashion.

I like Trinity.

Also Terri, or Theresa?

Hermymee · 18/02/2022 19:13

None of those names come close to Tara.

Why another T? Pick a name you like, who cares what it begins with?

sadpapercourtesan · 18/02/2022 19:12

I don't like any of them, sorry. They all seem quite faddy and American to me.

I love Tara though. I'd consider Tessa, Trista, Thea, Tamsin (nn Tammy)

Luredbyapomegranate · 18/02/2022 19:10

Tegan or Trudy

Trinity sounds like what teachers would call a naughty girl name, Trina sounds like someone from the 70s who got pregnant in school and had a Hard Life.

Rainbowqueeen · 18/02/2022 19:07

I like Tegan. Are you ok with Teegs as a NN?

I really like Tegan. I remember listening to Tegan and Sara's music and thinking the name was pretty.

changenametimeagain · 18/02/2022 19:05

I LOVE the name Tegan but a good friend called her baby something very similar just months before my DD was born. Tegan is my cousin's name too. Love love love.

Kendodd · 18/02/2022 19:05

I don't like any of your names, sorry.

Also, I would steer clear of using the same initials. It can make things like receiving mail and being on databases difficult when they are older.

narcdad · 18/02/2022 19:04

I prefer Trinity out of the 3, not keen on Tegan at all
