I have a Tara and want to stick with a T name. Leaning towards Tegan but also like Trinity and Trudy

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NashvilleQueen · 18/02/2022 22:49

Keegan is worse I'm afraid.

Also Tegan reminds me of a whole internet meme thing that goes something like 'Tegan delete this FFS'. No idea of the origins but it's the first thing I think of.

Partyatnumber10 · 18/02/2022 22:45

I love Tegan, it's a favourite of mine.
Loads of other great T names too.
I like
Trinity, Tamsin, Talia and Tabitha,

I once fell off a horse called Trudy four times in the same lesson, then she bit me... so that name gets a "no" from me Grin

@WeasilyPleased

My friend has a Tasmin. She's called Taz for short and it really suits her! That's my favourite T name for girls. It goes lovely with Tara and is a bit different.
That’s lovely

How about Keegan instead of Tegan? Tara and Keegan. Not a T but I like it

Tallulah
Tatiana (Tanya)
Tulia

AnnieSnap · 18/02/2022 22:38

I really don’t like Tegan. At the risk of being flamed, I think it sounds chavy! Tara is good\1

Scarby9 · 18/02/2022 22:32

I like all your T names.
Other suggestions:Tess
Tessa
Tamra
Tilly
Tilda
Toni
Tempe

lljkk · 18/02/2022 22:27

Trinny almost = Tranny rhymes with Fanny...

lljkk · 18/02/2022 22:27

I like Tegan a lot, Tiggy for short.
For me it goes fine with Tara.

Trudy is short for Gertrude.

Isn't Tarragon a green herb?

Trinity, Tess, Talia, Tilly/Tilda -- all fine, too.

Tea/Thea/Tia all don't work for me. Aunt in Spanish or a cuppa.

UserBotLurking9to5 · 18/02/2022 22:21

I know my suggestions dont start with t!
But they go better with Tara
They're nicer names
I asked op if it had to be T

averythinline · 18/02/2022 22:14

Really like Tegan think slightly prefer teagan spelling
not keen on Trinity, Tia /Truly also ok not great just a bit bland..

Watapalava · 18/02/2022 22:08

Tegan is nice - much nicer than Tara for me if I’m honest

Dislike Trinity with a passion - sounds like a hookers name

I’d go for

Tilly
Tess

Tbh there aren’t many nice T names so I’d avoid picking something average for sake of a T. These I’ve mentioned are merely ‘best of a bad bunch’

Nancydrawn · 18/02/2022 22:00

Oh my god you cannot name your daughter Tarragon.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 18/02/2022 21:36

Tabitha?

JemimaTiggywinkle · 18/02/2022 21:36

I really like Tegan.

Please not Tarragon though - it really is very herby - like naming your baby Parsley. I know some herbs are names (rosemary, basil) but I don’t think Tarragon has made it yet.

RAOK · 18/02/2022 21:32

Tamara, Talia, Taya

WhenZoomWasJustAnIceLolly · 18/02/2022 21:23

Also know a Teyah

WhenZoomWasJustAnIceLolly · 18/02/2022 21:22

Trinity is the best.

Tegan to rhyme with Megan or Tee-gan?

Tiffany
Thalia
Tilly
Tess
Theodora

To be honest Tess is the only one I actually like although Tara is nice

LongSummers · 18/02/2022 21:21

Not mad on Tegan at all I’m afraid. same reasons as others have said. Love Tilly / Thea

ChirpyChirp · 18/02/2022 21:18

I think Tegan is a pretty name. I wouldn't associate it with a particular class!

I really dislike Trinity, Trudy and Trina though.

Thea?

tearinghairout · 18/02/2022 21:09

@RallySooney

I know of a Tegan. Her brother is a drug dealer.
I think I might know the same one! But probably there are many! Yes, not a posh name. I love Tamar, Tabitha and Tansy. Not Trinity. Too Matrix.
SquigglePigs · 18/02/2022 21:06

Tegan is lovely (as is the Tara you already have). Sorry but Trudy is a bit my parents generation. Not mad keen on Trinity either (and I don't think it goes with Tara).

One of my favourite names I couldn't use was Teyla.

Other T names that might work:
Taylor (alternative spelling to my preferred Teyla)
Tabitha
Tamsin or Tamzin
Tamara
Tasha (not sure if it stands alone though rather than a nickname for Natasha)
Tia
Tanya

TheSmallAssassin · 18/02/2022 21:05

I love Tegan - I have ever since the Doctor Who assistant of the same name, back in the early 80s.

Blueexpress · 18/02/2022 21:03

@Comedycook
That’s quite interesting. I suppose it would be possible to judge subconsciously, but I certainly wouldn’t do it on a conscious level.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being working class, quite the contrary actually but I do think the downmarket comment made by another poster was a little bit snotty. Sorry.
