I have a Tara and want to stick with a T name. Leaning towards Tegan but also like Trinity and Trudy

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
CloseYourEyesAndSee · 19/02/2022 12:05

Keegan for a girl? Like Kevin?
Your name choices are all quite unappealing. What is it about Tegan and Trudy that appeals apart from the T?

drpet49 · 19/02/2022 12:02

All 3 names are beyond awful

user1493494961 · 19/02/2022 11:41

Keegan! You're going from bad to worse.

CrackerGal · 19/02/2022 11:39

@CharlieBoo

My dd (12) Has a friend called Teagan.: they call her Teags.. to me it’s just such a waste when they could’ve called her a beautiful girls name.. it’s just so American and cheap sounding.. sorry 😫

Really?
It's actually Irish not American & means "little poet".

CrackerGal · 19/02/2022 11:36

*however

CrackerGal · 19/02/2022 11:36

Teagan or whoever you'll spell it is really nice, I have a young family member called that & there are really not many about!
I'd say go for it, it goes well with Tara.

Gwenhwyfar · 19/02/2022 11:32

"for example, Amelia could be from any class background."

Really? Amelia sounds posh to me.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 19/02/2022 11:21

Surprised by the hatred for Teagan. I thought it was Cornish?

Trinity is a character in the Matrix or a drag queen.

Tansy?

StopForAMinute · 19/02/2022 09:55

I like Tegan.

Watapalava · 19/02/2022 08:41

As a mum or two boys I’ve honestly never had an issue of initials causing probs

Letters to kids are normally all given full names and most go off to uni etc by time they get formal letters

Glowinglights · 19/02/2022 08:38

Although I’m not a huge fun of the name Tasmin I think Tara & Taz is a winning combo Star.

(It might make life easier to pick a name with a different letter - mail addressed to T.Surname will cause confusion..)

liveforsummer · 19/02/2022 08:27

@AnnieSnap

I quite like Tulip
But would you like to be called it yourself, as an adult, shaking hands with your interviewer for example?
NoddingTulip · 19/02/2022 07:48

I know 2 Tegans one pronounces it Tee-gan which I'm not keen on. The other is pronounced to rhyme with Megan which is quite nice.

I like Trudy from your suggestions.

blitzen · 19/02/2022 07:47

So sorry, OP, but I think Tegan is awful.

Of the names suggested, I think Tilly is probably the nicest and goes well alongside Tara. Tabitha is lovely too x

Andithoughtiwasspecial · 19/02/2022 07:46

Tansy?

Flatandhappy · 19/02/2022 07:41

I like Tegan and know a couple. The "not posh" made me howl but I am not in the UK. I do find it funny how British people are so obsessed with the class thing. I liked Tia for DD but once a Spanish waiter pointed out in meant aunt in Spanish I couldn't do it.

FurryGrowler · 19/02/2022 07:36

How about Tracy 😆

FurryGrowler · 19/02/2022 07:34

None of them. Sorry op

Lovemydoggie · 18/02/2022 23:23

Trudy or Tara…Tegan meh I am afraid.

MadeForThis · 18/02/2022 23:16

Tierna
Tessie
Tessa
Tanya
Toni

ThreeLocusts · 18/02/2022 23:00

Recently met someone called Talita, quite like that one.

LizzieBet14 · 18/02/2022 22:51

Talia or Tess are the nicest for me - but I've known siblings with the same initial to get mistaken for who is who..... ie 'Are you Tara or Tess?' - much to their annoyance.

NashvilleQueen · 18/02/2022 22:50

Please don't go with Keegan

Tegan
