Hugo

Barleysugar85 · 23/02/2022 01:07

We have a four year old Hugo so obviously I like the name- however we do run into a lot of other little Hugo's when we are out and about! It seems to be quite popular at the moment if that kind of thing bothers you.

Lovely OP. Enjoy.

navigatingcrumbs · 22/02/2022 21:27

Warren for sure

walkingonsunshinewithicecream · 22/02/2022 12:03

Humphrey and Victoria :)

Hugo!

Humphrey would be a cute name for a pet rabbit.

Hutch is what Humphrey lives in.

woodhill · 14/02/2022 11:06

You really missed out not but it was funny in places with dusty mop as well I think

Lockdownbear · 14/02/2022 10:29

@woodhill

Humphrey was in Hickory House with Amanda Barrie - have a look😀
Possibly in my subconscious somewhere but I've no recollection of the rest of it. Although I can hear Humphrey getting said in a childish 'yes that's right Humphrey' sort of way. It finished in 77, I was born 74 so it's possible I was just too young to remember it properly.
Blubells · 14/02/2022 10:28

Hugh is a good suggestion

Humphrey or Hugh. Hugo is getting too popular and Hutch is where you keep a rabbit

Lockdownbear · 14/02/2022 01:23

I could be combining Mr Humphries from Are You Being Served, together with Humpty from Playschool.
I've never heard it other than on the telly many moons ago.

Lockdownbear · 14/02/2022 01:12

Was it Jeffrey? And zippy.
No that was Rainbow, George, Zippy and Bungle the big bear. Rod, Jane & Freddy the three singers.

But maybe Humphrey made the odd appearance 🤔

Chichimcgee · 14/02/2022 01:09

Victoria is a classic
Hugo goes well
Humphrey I love for a dog
Hunter is the complete opposite to Victoria, what if he grows up to be a vegetarian wildlife rescuer?!

Cissyandflora · 14/02/2022 00:56

@Lockdownbear

Hugo

Was Humphrey not a toy in Playschool? I'm sure I remember it from kids 1970s telly.

Hunter - not convinced by it. Its sounds like a surname

Hugo is Victoria’s sibling I think.

It is a good strong name.

Ellmau · 14/02/2022 00:11

@Lockdownbear

I think Humphrey will end up getting shortened to Hump, Humf or Rey.

If that influences your decision

Or could be Free?

I think Hunter might actually be worse than Hutch.

Hugo is pleasant and mainstream.

Humphrey is quirkier, I like it but others won't.

Oh, I see it's Hunter, not Hutch. Still not keen, tbh, but not as bad as Hutch :) It feels very American.

Ellmau · 13/02/2022 23:47

I love Hugo.

Showing my age but this is what I think about when I hear the name Humphrey: www.campaignlive.co.uk/article/49-humphreys/1161672 (It wouldn't affect your DC though.)

Hutch is just no.

georgarina · 13/02/2022 22:57

Hugo!

Humphrey really puts me off (sorry!) and Hutch sounds incomplete, like it should be short for something

woodhill · 13/02/2022 20:30

@CherryDocsInYrBalls

Humphrey. The head in Ghosts is called Humphrey.
Yes, look what happened to him😀
Theonlyoneiknow · 13/02/2022 20:27

Hugo if has to be an H name I prefer Hector or Hunter
