Just wondering if anyone is like me and is sad they will never use a particular baby name!
Mine is olive !! I long for a baby olive but no more babies for us!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
KimDeals · 03/02/2022 19:42

Oh yes!

I am so sad I will never have a

baby Vinnie
baby Paddy
And a little baby Constance - who would be called Connie!

Vinnie, Paddy and Connie.

Malleable · 03/02/2022 19:42

I always thought I'd like to have two boys called Kit and Rory.

DH adamantly vetoed both names when I was pregnant. But then we had DDs anyway! Thinking about it, they would be good names for cats...

Blue4YOU · 03/02/2022 19:42

I know this is going to sound weird but Wilhelmina! I really wanted it for DD.
Also, I don’t know why but Hilda appeals to me.

RagzRebooted · 03/02/2022 19:40

Brianna. Loved it in the Diana Gabaldon series, said with a Scottish lilt. My sister ruined it for me by screeching it in a chavvy voice whenever I said I wanted to call DD Brianna. So she wasn't. Annoying as DD hates her name!

Cheeseontoastforlunch · 03/02/2022 19:39

Veto!

Cheeseontoastforlunch · 03/02/2022 19:38

Arietty, Beto by husband and he was a boy in the end!

Postitmug · 03/02/2022 19:38

Matthew and Grace. Also sad that I won't have the chance to give a boy my Dad's name as a middle name.

BadlyArrangedToasties · 03/02/2022 19:34

Gideon
We stopped at two. If DD had been a boy, this was the name.

tunnocksreturns2019 · 03/02/2022 19:33

Ada. We were going to have a third but DH was diagnosed with terminal cancer when we were just about to start trying. He probably would’ve vetoed Ada anyway to be honest. I vetoed Eliza for DD - two of my chickens are now Ada for me and Eliza for late DH ❤️

FloatyBoaty · 03/02/2022 19:32

Laurie and Jude.

I wanted more kids but know I’m lucky to have one.

Weirdly could only ever think of / became attached to boys names….

Eileen101 · 03/02/2022 19:29

Caleb, but DH vetoed it before we knew DC2's sex. We're most prominent done with babies too. Maybe I can convince one of the DC that a future grandchild should be called Caleb Grin

MrsSwears2Much · 03/02/2022 19:28

Darcy and Peyton. Both my girl names. I had boys.

Mommabear20 · 03/02/2022 19:28

Carlin and Lawson

mugoftea456 · 03/02/2022 19:28

@CocoPancakes

Barney. I know it's not everyones cup of tea but I think it's such a cute name and the nicest boy I went to primary school with was called Barney. But my husband hates it. It also sounds ridiculous with our surname.
Please tell me your surname is dinosaur or rubble!!

I love the name Barney !

Ottolin3 · 03/02/2022 19:25

@mumonthehill

Hebe and clementine for girls but I had boys. Also Gilbert and Gideon both I love but neither felt the one when we had both ds’s.
I know a hebe and a clementine ❤️
ANameChangeAgain · 03/02/2022 19:18

Elsie is mine. I have enough dc though, it isn't a dogs name and I won't have cats. Perhaps a hamster, or persuade my children to use the name for grandchild!

Hellhath · 03/02/2022 19:18

I always wanted a Bryony. When I was expecting my last baby my eldest son had a girlfriend called Bryony so I thought it would be weird to use it.

DramaAlpaca · 03/02/2022 19:17

I had all boys so I didn't get to use Emma.

If I'd had a fourth boy (DH very sensibly put his foot down and said no more) I'd have called him Finn. I ended up using it on the dog Grin

OrchidFlakes · 03/02/2022 19:15

Tabitha and Margo. I had 2 boys so never got to name any DD

NothingIsWrong · 03/02/2022 19:13

Hester. Always loved it

Hedonism · 03/02/2022 18:42

Idris.

My DC are clamouring for a cat though. I could see a cat called Idris?

Also Sarah... DH vetoed on the basis that he'd had a crazy ex called Sarah!

Greatboosup · 03/02/2022 18:36

@Ijustreallywantacat

Eliza. Instant veto. Sad
Aww, Eliza is one of our rabbits! Cary for a boy Ione for a girl Never had either (by choice) but still love the names!
Bortles · 03/02/2022 18:23

Faye. Wanted to call a baby it since I was 4. Partner knew and didnt like one from school. Vetoed it. Huff.

NotMyDayJob · 03/02/2022 18:13

Juniper for a girl, but DH won't even countenance it and Elliot for a boy as no more babies after this one so definitely no boys

MamaBee23 · 03/02/2022 17:35

We always planned that if we had a boy he would be Eli Isaac.
I had a miscarriage back in 2019 and haven't fallen pregnant again since.
I'm starting to think it'll never be a name we will get to use.
