Siblings initials - am I overthinking this?

I am currently pregnant with baby 3. My older children are called Nancy and Annie and I am considering the name Grace for this baby.
If you put the first letter of each name together it spells NAG. Would this put you off or am I thinking way too much into this?? x

@RedCandyApple

Someone pointed out to me that my kids names spell STD I really wish I had known that before naming them 🤦🏻
Haha I just worked out that mine and my siblings is STD 😆

My DCs are FAT 😆😆

ZebraKid71 · 04/02/2022 21:30

I write my kids initials fairly regularly on cards etc if I have written a lot and run out of room and I don't use their names on social media, only their initials, so it would bother me.

WindInTheWillows7 · 04/02/2022 10:31

Which is JABGrin

WindInTheWillows7 · 04/02/2022 10:30

No one will even think of that... Until now I've never once worked out what mine and my siblings' initials spell

Georgeskitchen · 04/02/2022 09:43

No I don't think anyone will really pick up on it unless you point it out.
Just don't call your daughter Sarah Heather Iris Tina 🤣

Stevearnottsbeard · 04/02/2022 09:17

Mine spell SIN!! 😂😂😂

Bluemamma · 02/02/2022 16:39

Overthinking :) the only 2 scenarios I can think of is if you want to get initial necklace (I just got one with my kids initials) or as someone already said - Christmas stockings with initials - but in both these cases you just switch them around and that’s it. All lovely names by the way!

Woahbodyforrrrm · 02/02/2022 00:20

Mine spell SESH 😂 I never noticed until I was getting a bracelet made.

I think you're overthinking it. The names are very pretty!

DramaAlpaca · 02/02/2022 00:12

Completely overthinking.

SeeminglyOblivious · 02/02/2022 00:11

Overthinking...no one will do that with siblings!

If you were calling your child Naomi Olivia Brothers...or Tommy Idris Thomas...now that's the issue that would matter.

Imonaspendingban · 02/02/2022 00:11

My mother lost 3 babies before she had me-ones initials would have been BRA
I have 6 kids and the last 3 spell out BAM
I only noticed when I went to use them as a password for an old sm account
I wouldn’t give it a second thought

Lemonweightloss · 01/02/2022 16:53

Definitely overthinking.
Beautiful names !

SpaghettiArmsMurderer · 01/02/2022 16:27

Definitely overthinking

PumpkinCrumble · 01/02/2022 16:03

I mean the only scenario I can imagine it being relevant, based on personal life experience, is that you might have stockings with initials hung up at Christmas? But NAG isn’t horribly offensive enough to not go with a name..-and then you could just mix up the initials?

memememe · 01/02/2022 16:03

I've got a necklace with my kids initials on so that's pretty much the only time you would notice it. Mine read M A D btw. I think it's cool.

Soakitup37 · 01/02/2022 15:59

Spooky that this came up I was JUST thinking the same thing about my first name my son and the front runner to my my 18 week womb baby together! Ours would be GOT it TOG.

No idea why I thought it but I just as quickly realised how irrelevant it would be!

EmmaGrundyForPM · 01/02/2022 15:56

you are definitely overthinking! Have you ever worked out what any other set of siblings initials spell? No. So why should anyone else ever think about your children?

Isntisironic1 · 01/02/2022 15:53

Yes I wish I’d thought mine out better, my kids put together spells ASS 🙈🤦‍♀️😩

CaveMum · 01/02/2022 15:51

Definitely overthinking! One of my DC has the initials WC Grin

SausageRoll2020 · 01/02/2022 15:49

You're definitely overthinking!
I don't think I've ever thought about what mine and my siblings initials would spell and I doubt anyone would.

StopForAMinute · 01/02/2022 15:47

You are over thinking it. Beautiful names!

irishfarmer · 01/02/2022 15:41

Ya I think you are way over thinking this!

Only time it might come up is if their own DC cope is and called their mum + 2 aunts the NAGs Grin Wink I'm joking, that is really really unlikely!!

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 01/02/2022 15:41

@Youngstreet

I agree you're overthinking. I think its just the individuals initials that are important. So you wouldn't want Grace Olive with a surname beginning with B for example.
We rethought our son’s name as he would have been a comb!
