Is it awful? I don't actually know what I'm having yet, I have a feeling it'll be another boy but can't help day dream of girl names.

I've always loved Imogen, but I hate Immy and I know it'll happen.

I love Cassidy, and I love Cassie which is the inevitable shortening most people will make.

Is it a bit too surnamey?

I don't think of Cassidy as a surname and I think it's a nice name for a girl!

Great name choices - I have one of each! My Cassie is Catherine on the birth certificate, so that’s another option.

Obviously, Immy might still happen, but if you are prepared to take the risk and use alternative nn, I know an Imogen who goes by Momo.

Cassidy does make me think surname at first, but it also works very well as a first name - like Taylor or James.

I really like Cassie as a name on its own. I don’t like surnames as first names personally.

I've always thought Cassidy as a cool name for a girl. I honestly can't think of anything negative about it. Congratulations on your baby! Smile

It is an Irish surname, but if you don't live in Ireland I don't think it would be a problem. If you do, we have plenty of kids here called Ryan, and it is a really common surname.

But honestly, I would think a child called Cassidy was a boy.

Lovely name . I teach a Cassidy and she shortens it to Cassie , which is also lovely 💕
