Can’t decide which name goes with big sister Isabella (Issy), options are:

Flora
Clementine

Oh my goodness, those are my current favourite girls’ names. Totally pointless as I already have a gorgeous DD (Lucy) and I won’t be having any more. Of the two, I would go for Flora.

Also, I much prefer the pronunciation Clementeen rather than Clementyne and I suspect you will get both pronunciations.

Illyria17 · 03/03/2022 09:14

Thanks everyone! Baby girl due date is a week away and we are going with Flora - (flo and Flossie nn’s are too cute to pass up!)
Not sure how to stop this thread 😆 xx

Flora

I love C but it’s too long and lots of people think it’s pretentious

sageandbasil · 26/02/2022 20:15

Flora. Love it

Zillamop · 26/02/2022 08:11

Why not use Clementine as middle name? Flora Clementine or Saskia Clementine would be great.

SaffieSoph · 25/02/2022 23:32

Oh sorry, just read that's now out! I'd go Saskia then.

SaffieSoph · 25/02/2022 23:31

Clementine gets my vote.

StopForAMinute · 25/02/2022 23:19

I like Saskia.

Mumofgirls2017 · 25/02/2022 22:13

Both lovey and go well. Clementine has the edge for me

babynamelover · 25/02/2022 20:35

I think Saskia fits better style wise with Isabella ☺️.

Illyria17 · 25/02/2022 20:11

We’ve decided Clementine isn’t right as we don’t like “Clem” nn and she will naturally be called that.

So it’s now out of
Flora (issy and flo)
Saskia (Issy and sass)

Both gorgeous names
I pick Clementine but like both

Hopitihop · 03/02/2022 14:15

None really... If I had to choose I would go for Clementine though.

Buttercup54321 · 02/02/2022 21:52

Clementine

AdaColeman · 01/02/2022 01:05

Both lovely, but Flora is my favourite.

perimenofertility · 31/01/2022 23:54

Flora, definitely!

Illyria17 · 31/01/2022 23:41

That’s lovely to hear! I think we are going with Flora.. Now for the middle name 😆

I have an 11yo Flora (so I'm biased obviously!) Suits her down to the ground and we've never had any of the horrible comments that you hear on here about it.

Luredbyapomegranate · 31/01/2022 23:05

Flora
Isabella and Flora is a splendidly Scottish combo. Ignore the spreads/margarine comments about Flora, it’s a perfectly usual name and getting more popular.
Clementine is also nice, just doesn’t go so well - maybe Clementina sounds better

whattodo2019 · 30/01/2022 22:59

Flora... easily spreadable.... sorry but the advert ruined Flora
Clementine is ok, but it's a bit wehhh

Illyria17 · 30/01/2022 21:59

Thanks for your thoughts everyone! Flora margarine not such a big thing here so that’s not an issue.
@SummaLuvin this is a good point!!

I really don’t like Flora, and Clementine isn’t my cup of tea but is best out of the two with the nn Clemmie. I second Florence though. Gorgeous without being twee.

SummaLuvin · 30/01/2022 17:58

Is there a chance the baby could be a red-head? When I was young I knew a girl called Clementine and found it strange as she had orange hair.

user1493494961 · 30/01/2022 17:58

Both are lovely, I think I would choose Clementine.

Peachandpearl · 30/01/2022 17:57

Clementine
I don't like the name Flora because it's a yellow coloured fake butter product to me
