Any thoughts?
My best friends little brother was called this and I've loved it since I was little. My husband is yet to be convinced.
Middle name would be Cameron as that's a family tradition.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BusterGonad · 30/01/2022 20:16

I like it. I have no negative associations with it.

campion · 30/01/2022 20:08

Go with Cameron. He'll thank you for it.

scrivette · 30/01/2022 19:55

I like it, I have known one who would be in his late 40's now and DSS has a friend in his 20's called it too.

sweepthenmop · 30/01/2022 19:47

I don't like it either, sorry. Cameron is lovely though

cherrytopcake · 30/01/2022 19:46

@NewtoHolland

Good to hear a range of views...is it naf because it's try hard?? Or because of inbetweeners?? It's so hard because my association is just this lovely little toddler who we both adored! It's hard to break the love for it 😂
It's sounds try hard. Sorry op.
cherrytopcake · 30/01/2022 19:46

Avoid. He won't thank you for it.

Luredbyapomegranate · 30/01/2022 19:44

It’s.. alright, in a portly older guy sort of way - but Kingsley Cameron is a bit much - I think he needs one conventional name so if Kingsley is too marmite he can switch.

celestebellman · 30/01/2022 19:33

Shacklebolt
Just makes me think of the Harry Potter character.
I think it's quite a big name to carry off.

Gardeningcreature · 30/01/2022 19:24

It's too surnamey for me. Also with Cameron which is often a surname you have two surname sounding names.

Jacaranda75 · 30/01/2022 19:09

I know a Kingsley. He has a sister called Thea. I think they’re both quite cool names.

SummaLuvin · 30/01/2022 19:03

@Mo1911

Now desperately trying to remember Kingsley from Harry Potters surname 😰

EishetChayil · 30/01/2022 18:36

Bulldog's name.

SummaLuvin · 30/01/2022 18:09

My immediate association is with the Harry Potter character, not a bad reference, and one that only fans would be familiar with - not Minerva or Hermione which are associated by the wider population too.

I think it's a nice name, but for some reason I think it's a 'big' name for a child to take on, like Constantine or Achilles.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 30/01/2022 16:33

Rugby player from the 1980s for me.

BigBessie · 30/01/2022 16:30

I know a Kingsley and I love the name. Really strong and old-fashioned

Pieceofpurplesky · 30/01/2022 16:28

I like it.
Pretty village in Cheshire too.

Theworldisfullofgs · 30/01/2022 16:23

As in Kingsley Amis, the author?

It's a good name, and not at all made up.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 30/01/2022 16:21

Just makes me think of the Inbetweeners

I don't remember it from the inbetweeners, but it is a character from Fresh meat played by one of the inbetweeners actors. Its basically the same character though with a different name!

Its also a character in Harry Potter.

I like it

Knockoneofftheshelftowin · 30/01/2022 16:19

A friends middle name, in his fifties.

Purplemoon65 · 30/01/2022 16:18

I really like it, reminds me of Harry Potter

TashieWoo · 30/01/2022 16:13

A rather chavvy couple on teen mom uk young and pregnant called their baby Kingsley so it’s definitely a bit naff in my opinion.

JessicaJacket · 30/01/2022 15:59

I knew a little Kingsley in Edinburgh years ago. He would be in his twenties now. I can't say I love the name, but it's fine.

I used to work with a Prince and he was one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen irl, so it absolutely worked on him. Otherwise, I'd find the regal element of it a bit risky, if he turns out to be a laid back, scruffy surfer type for example

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 30/01/2022 15:59

Reminds me of Harry Potter. I really like it

Derrymum123 · 30/01/2022 15:59

Love it. A good strong name. Reminds me of Charles Kingsley, a good man of his time.
