For a girl? What's your thoughts?

I love it in one breath but is it faddy? Having doubts.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Wren seems very popular at the moment.

Not sure about it. Cant understand why it's popular when Karen isn't. I had a friend Karen who went by the shortening of Wren.

cheapskatemum · 30/01/2022 10:14

Love it. I think it suits a girl more than a boy though, but that's just my opinion.

Lockdownbear · 30/01/2022 09:47

Sorry it's a no from me reminds me of the Women's Royal Navy which were called Wrens. And the kitchen people.

elfran · 30/01/2022 09:39

Objectively I really like the sound, but I do think it's faddy and will date quickly.

I love Robin too but to me it has a different vibe as it's much more classic. You might also like Lark/Larkin which feels similar (maybe a bit more surname-y) but much less trendy so unlikely to feel as time-stamped in future.

MeatPieWoman · 30/01/2022 09:38

Kitchens.

drmartinee · 30/01/2022 09:33

I love it

ApolloandDaphne · 30/01/2022 09:30

I really hate it. Hate Robin too and Willow (which I know is not a bird but comes in the same category of fey nature names).

Stookeen · 30/01/2022 09:27

Faddy, fey and whimsical IMO. Also, probably because of the fashion designer who died a few years back, I hear it as L’Wren missing its and apostrophe.

Purplemoon65 · 30/01/2022 09:15

I know a couple under 2. It is cute but does seem faddy to me.

Just10moreminutesplease · 30/01/2022 09:15

I really love it Grin.

daveyfish · 30/01/2022 09:14

I love it, and I’m usually pretty conservative about names. I always think of how I’d feel as an adult with cutesy names, I’d be happy to be a wren!

Allpenguinsarepingus · 30/01/2022 09:13

I like it. Small cute bird thing is not a issue. ´Robin’ is also a small cute bird.

Luredbyapomegranate · 30/01/2022 09:10

It’s incredibly faddy and will date very fast.

So if that’s bother’s you, I wouldn’t. Robin? That’s been around for ages so won’t ever sound dated in the same way.

duvetdayforeveryone · 30/01/2022 09:01

I love it.

What are you thinking for a middle name?

FlamingoDust · 30/01/2022 08:51

Love it! I know a couple and they always get compliments on their name

RussiasGreatestLoveMachine · 30/01/2022 04:55

It’s nice, but it feels a bit too gimmicky.

Crunchysnap · 30/01/2022 04:45

I think of Wren from Pretty Little Liars. And he was male. I think I am in the small minority though.

Having said that, I think it is a beautiful girls name.

Flutterflybutterby · 30/01/2022 04:08

I think it's sweet but I'd be wary it might get very popular soon and then maybe seem a bit dated, but so will a lot of names that are popular now, so I don't necessarily think that should put you off!

DebbieHarrysCheekbones · 30/01/2022 00:41

Gorgeous

Mikeythecat · 30/01/2022 00:40

I think it's really lovely.

StrawberryPot · 30/01/2022 00:35

I think it's lovely too.

Daydreamsinsantafe · 30/01/2022 00:31

It’s beautiful. Evokes images of a clever, quick witted & elegant woman and a spirited little girl.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 30/01/2022 00:30

Renée/Ren is lovely.

Benvolio · 30/01/2022 00:26

Would be a beautiful nickname for a Lauren

Purplependant222 · 30/01/2022 00:23

Really cute nickname.

Could have a name beginning with ‘W’ or with ‘en’ included.

My first thought was Wren kitchens.
