Nature/bohemian names

I quite like nature names, names with a slight bohemian feel to them. Some of the names I like are Amber, Jasmine and Skye. All of them feel a bit dated now as they peaked in popularity a while ago, but I'm still tempted to use Amber.
I just wondered what other names I might like, nothing too unusual. If this baby is a girl she will be a summer baby. I love the name Summer but it's my friends daughters name and just feels a bit too close.

Other names on our list
Alannah
Daphne
Esme

Nothing feels quite right!

Jasmine is lovely, don’t think it’s dated. Amber is dated. Summer is about to be dated - has had it’s day (!)

@thisgardenlife

Are you seriously suggesting nutmeg and seashell, and if so, do you realise this is a human baby not a kitten Grin

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 27/01/2022 21:03

Amber is lovely. Dislike Wren immensely. Luna is terrible as it is way too close to loony/lunatic. Clover, Cassia, Bryony?

@Buddhabowl

Some lovely names here. I LOVE Meadow but we have one in the family.

Does Wren sound a bit short with a one syllable surname?
I like Willow but DH doesn't.
I love Luna but it gets slated on here for some reason?
Hazel is nice

I really want to like Astrid but find it a little bit harsh.
Primrose is nice but I worry about Prim and her not liking it.
Is bluebell a bit too twee do you think?!

Does anyone have any thoughts on Amber and if it's had its day?

I think Luna only gets slated as it was really popular and then people started calling their pets Luna too. I think it's a lovely name. Bluebell is a nice sounding name but I'd worry that it wouldn't be suitable for when she's an adult. Amber is a nice name and sounds good on both a child and an adult.
