A middle name for Clemency

I'm not yet set on Clemency, but am interested in it, and I was wondering what middle name you would pair with it? Nickname would be Clemmie or Cece, whichever sticks. (Not after nickname opinions as obviously nicknames emerge naturally so I'm not sure which one my children would pick - and in my family it's normally the children who pick the other children's nicknames, based on what they can say or what they like!)

So far I like:
Clemency Jemima Rose
Clemency Josephine
Clemency Martha Rose

I know Rose is a filler but it's just so pretty!

I know of a Clemency. It is a virtue name and one of the nicest.

personally i prefer Clementine paired with jemima as i like jemima and rose is ok.

I dislike Clemency as doesnt aound like a name.

I think Clemency Martha Rose is best

Am not a big fan of Martha, but I don’t think you want another 3 syllable name after Clemency, two syllables, simple and classic is going to be best -

Clemency is something you ask for. It’s not a particularly nice name.
It means mercy doesn’t it? I suppose it’s depends on how you view it, asking for mercy or giving mercy. I think mercy as a virtue is one of the nicer ones.

C&P from Google but it’s a great definition I think:

“Mercy is the virtue of forgiveness. It is the decision to stop hating and to renounce vengeance. It is about your choice, not other's choice. Mercy does not nullify the evil, and it does not give up the fight against evil; it is your refusal to be drawn into evil, to add to the hate, or to continue the violence”

I like Josephine and Jemima. I find Martha Rose a bit wet.

(Josephine and Jemima both have three syllables. I am not sure why you ruled out a second middle name for one but not the other!)

I'm loving Clemency now, I've never heard of it before, I have in my head it's some kind of legal term but not a clue what it would mean, but makes such a cute name!!! Nearest is clementine but still never known one personally. Do you have any family names to use for a middle name, I always like that. Then maybe Fern as the final name. As it's a plant like rose is. And it's short so you could potentially use any fancy name as the first middle name

Another vote for Clemency - such a good name.

Short middle name I reckon. Ruth (meaning compassion for other’s grief) works with Clemency as pp said.

I like all your choices OP. Middle names don't get used much so won't matter if it's a mouthful. I specifically came on to say that I think Clemency is an absolutely beautiful name.
