Boys names are so difficult!

Looking for some help on boys names for our first child. We already have a few girl names that we love but are really struggling with boys. We have a short surname ‘Jack’ and finding it hard to find names that suit.

We love traditional names that aren’t too out there but have a large family and most are claimed!
I like - Theo, Noah & Finley but wonder if the short names sound strange with our one syllable surname.
Husband likes Thomas & Henry but we are Scottish and Henry sounds a bit funny in our accent.

We both LOVE Jude & Jonah but worried they don’t match the surname either! Having a nightmare and would love some suggestions.

I think these would sound nice with your surname -

Cameron
Elliott
Finley
Alexander
Oliver
Sebastian

I love Jude as well. Any chance you can change your surname?!

I like Ivo (particularly in a Scottish accent).

Other suggestions:

Samuel
Alexander
William
Sebastian
Benjamin
Nathaniel
Gabriel
Edward
Caspian

We have a one syllable surname too and our sons name is Evan. We get lots of compliments on it. I think 2 syllables + for a short surname.

I love Henry :)

I would go for a two or three syllable name if your surname only has one.
