Grace, Olivia, Isabella - How many do you know?

How many little ones (under 5 or so) do you know called Grace, Olivia or Isabella?

I know they are all very popular names but I haven’t come across any in my DS’ nursery/nct/music classes. DS is 1.5 yo.

I know 1 Isabella, no Olivias, 1 Grace (but in her 30s)
All 3 names are beautiful and the fact that they are popular wouldn’t put me off at all

Kitkat151 · 17/01/2022 12:07

Olivias x 3
Grace x 2
Isabella ( various spellings) x 3

Violetandpurple · 17/01/2022 11:54

I’m in West Midlands.
Lots of Olivias.
Not many Graces (3 age range from 1-9)
No Isabellas

beans1992 · 15/01/2022 18:22

So many Olivia’s. The other two not so much. But Olivia, I know 6 under five and always hear it when out and about.

DockOTheBay · 14/01/2022 19:31

I have preschool aged kids so know a lot of under 5s.

There is one Olivia at my daughters nursery, and one Isabella (with a different and very unusual spelling)

Fl0w3ry · 14/01/2022 19:29

2 Isabella, 0 Olivia, O Grace under 5. The Olivia and Grace’s I know are all teens.

careerswitcher · 14/01/2022 18:57

I know 1 Isabella, 1 Grace and 2 Olivias.

I think if you're worried about a name being too popular then with Olivia it's worth bearing in mind how many Olivers there are too. In DD's class there is only one Olivia but there is also an Oliver and an Ollie! At least Isabella and Grace don't have that problem.

ThirdElephant · 14/01/2022 18:50

0, 0 and 3 respectively

qualitygirl · 14/01/2022 18:49

None

CaffiSaliMali · 14/01/2022 18:49

Under 5s I know 1 Grace, 1 Isabella (and 1 Isabel) and 0 Olivia.

Blubells · 14/01/2022 16:33

Loads!

They're starting to sound very dated imo

StickyStickyStickStickSong · 13/01/2022 20:41

I have Gracie and Olivia nieces there seem popular at min

RosesAndHellebores · 13/01/2022 20:34

Extraordinarily when dd was 4, there were 12 girls in her class. Three were called Imogen, three were called Alice. Nearly 20 years ago.

MerryMarigold · 13/01/2022 10:03

So, the school I mentioned has a class of 30. About half will be boys so 3/15 girls are called Isabella! Almost 20% I think.

MerryMarigold · 13/01/2022 10:01

There's a school locally, 1 form entry with THREE Isabellas in Reception this year. My DD has 2 friends called Isabella (age 12-13). I don't know any Olivias (I work with 2-4 year olds) and I know one Grace (14). I guess it depends on area. My son is Oliver and it was the no. 1 name when he was born. There are 2 (him and one other) in his year at school out of 180.

cherryonthecakes · 13/01/2022 09:56

Grace is like Rose and much more often a middle name rather than first name ime.

I know that Olivia was number one for ages but I hear Eve/Eva/Ava/Evie and Elle/Ellie/Ella/Bella far more often.

Iirc there's a search tool on another site for baby names by postcode.

MsTSwift · 13/01/2022 09:49

Both my girls have deeply annoying Graces in their lives so that name is doomed for me anyway!

nightdune · 13/01/2022 08:53

For under 5...

Grace - 0
Olivia - 2 that I can think of.
Isabella - too many to count. A shame because I love it.

Mumofgirls2017 · 13/01/2022 08:38

Grace 0
Olivia 3
Isabella 0 but 3 Isabels

And then I know 4 Elodies! Charts aren’t always representative!

Freddie456 · 12/01/2022 19:14

@Freddie456 some of the girl's names we considered were Iris, Mabel, Miriam, Josephine (nn Joey), Bonnie, Lydia, Meredith (nn Meri)

Fivebeanchilli · 12/01/2022 15:31

Grace. I know 8 who are aged 16-19. I know a couple in their 20s. I know a few younger than 16 but only a few
Olivia. I know 11 between the ages of 14-20. Again I know fewer younger but I know a couple of 7 year olds.
Isabella - my 19 year old had 40% of the girls in her class with this name in primary school. I still know a lot with this name in all age groups.

TheSpanishApartment · 12/01/2022 15:28

None!

lynntheyresexswappers · 12/01/2022 15:04
@lynntheyresexswappers Grace is a lovely name Smile and I can only think of one I knew at school and there are none in my workplace so I still think it’s a top contender for our little one.
Congratulations on your pregnancy op, I'm sure whatever name you choose will be lovely x

Marcipex · 12/01/2022 15:03
