I recently heard of an Elphinstone Dalgleish. Have also met a couple of kids called Star.

What fun/marvellous/slightly wacky names have you come across?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I used to work in a bank, and did feel for people called Diaper, De'ath, O'nions etc....! (There was a boy at college called Timothy Onions and he just pronounced it like the vegetable, but our customers were definitely 'Oh-Nyons'....Smile). Strangely - I remember all those but don't recall coming across anything that would count as 'splendid', although there must have been.....

The best name I ever heard was the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan.

@DoucheCanoe

Liberty Bell is probably the funkiest name I've come across.

I actually quite like the names Tuesday and Wednesday for a girl but would never be brave enough to use them myself!

I know a Tuesday who is lovely and she may have a famous father

@KingofQueens

My very first midwife was called Comfort. What a marvellous name for a midwife.

I knew a boy called Stanley Snowball.

I love names - I've taught a boy called Glory which I thought was a wonderful name. Lots of Blessings, a girl called Petergaye and she really owned it and took absolutely no shit from the silly boys who teased her about it.
