Sibling name to complement Rosie and Poppy

Dd3 due in April and we're struggling for a name. We have a Rosemary (Rosie) and a Poppy already so a botanic/nature name is tempting but perhaps too cliché. Would love to hear your suggestions ☺️

An obvious flower name might be a bit much - but maybe something botanic but not floral like Clover, Fern or Laurel, something less obvious like Cassia, Aster or Briar, or something more broadly nature themed like Robin.

Having said that 3 flowers is lovely - Jasmine is nice and not as overused as Iris - or perhaps just Flora. I do think you want to avoid another flower with a y ending like Daisy.

MagratsDanglyCharms21 · 29/12/2021 08:59

Fern
Camomile
But the first that jumped to mind was Daisy (short for Marguerite or Margaret or similar longer adult names- a family member was a Daisy but felt that it didn't suit her when she hit her 30s so used her middle name then! So you have to think of them as adults as well as kids! Names are such a ballache lol)

I love Daisy but I think Iris matches the sisters' names. So beautiful.

Heather
Hazel
Erica (I think this means heather?)
Rowan
Willow

April would be good, or May if she's born late.

@ArtichokeAardvark But Laura is botanical, surely?

I agree with others, maybe botanical but not a flower, and not a -y.

Fern
Willow
Hazel
Laurel
Holly (if a y is ok)

AndrewPeacock · 29/12/2021 08:12

I know siblings who are Rosie, Poppy and Lilah

EdgeOfACoin · 29/12/2021 08:03

Scarlett - keep the red theme going!

ArtichokeAardvark · 29/12/2021 07:53

Not botanical, but I have a Laura. Rosie and Poppy were my two other frontrunner names though so suggesting it as it seems we have similar taste!

Dozer · 29/12/2021 07:52

Living up to your name eh, Boris? The OP states she’s having DD3.

borisisaprat · 29/12/2021 07:51

Why are people giving girls names when the new baby could be a boy?

Dozer · 29/12/2021 07:37

Agree with PP who said another flower name would be OTT but a nature one would work!
