DH and I are expecting a little girl next month. We have absolutely no name for her and whilst it's no big deal right now I'd like to even have a few on a list we like.

DH likes 'normal' names by that he means people know them, relatively common and not difficult to spell.

I like the complete opposite but agree our surname causes enough issues so straightforward is best.

I only like names that I would describe as 'hard' names as in not very girly and delicate.

Any suggestions??

All strong names which are feminine but not in the least bit delicate, and are familiar and easy to spell.

"hard name" to me would rule out all the "L" names like Lily, Lucy, Lisa and probably most of the two-syllable names ending in -ie or -y like Milly, Amy, Betty, Janie
