Nora - Norah spelling is my fave
Nell - lovely, I also like Nella (Italian I fink?)

What about Nola? That's one I often suggest on these threads but not popular yet...

Some lovely choices though OP

Emmy - I really like Emmy but as a NN only. I love it for Emmeline

Reese - not a fan, I don't mind Rhys on a boy but not for a girl

Rae - it's ok, just a bit meh

Nuala - not a fan

Nancy - a name that seems very in at the moment but it don't understand the appeal

Nellie / Nell - lovely as a NN for Helen / Helena / Penelope
Noa - even with the different spelling everybody will assume she is a boy

Betsy - gorgeous as a NN
Nora - love it but spelt Norah
Brooke - nice enough
Billie - not a fan
Marla - it's nice

LeftieLucy · 23/12/2021 22:53

Nancy and Betsy are the only ones I like.

You seem to like ‘N’ names, what about Nina?

ilovemykids5 · 23/12/2021 21:04

They all come out looking like wrinkled potatoes. I don't think that helps with naming

True 🤣

HacerSonarSusPasos · 23/12/2021 18:55

@BOBBY232

How can you choose a name for someone you haven't met yet? You have ideas, that's enough. Wait until you meet your brand new person, they really will choose it from your list. They'll have their personality and you will know immediately.

Er, quite easily?

Both our DCs’ names were predetermined. It’s actually not that unusual.

siennna · 23/12/2021 18:46

Emmy - lovely
Reese - nice
Rae - dislike - all the 'Rae', 'Mae' will become dated
Nuala - ok but not as classy
Nancy - a bit frumpy to me
Nellie / Nell - lovely
Noa - nice
Betsy - dislike - too cutesy
Nora - nice
Brooke - dislike - American sounding
Billie - ok
Marla - nice

Mumofgirls2017 · 23/12/2021 18:42

Nancy, Nell, Nora or Betsy

Halli2020 · 23/12/2021 17:10

My suggestion is to mix 2 together?
Billie Rae?
Emmy Brooke?

From your list these are my favourite five

Rae
Nancy
Nell (definitely not Nellie)
Billie
Marla

Purpleavocado · 23/12/2021 16:26

I like Nancy, but it does make me think of Oliver Twist. How about Romilly, Edie (short for Edith), Ivy

LavenderRosemary · 23/12/2021 16:05

I have always loved the name Marla. Love Nancy and Nellie too.

Nancy and Nora are lovely.
I also like Martha on the same kind of lines

PanicBuyingSprouts · 23/12/2021 15:56

Forgot Nancy and Noa! Don't know why as I like both of them Smile

TheSpiral · 23/12/2021 15:52

Emmy - lovely as a nickname for Emilia or Emily
Reese - for me personally it makes me think of peanut butter cups
Rae - OK
Nuala - OK
Nancy -Love it
Nellie / Nell - OK, but does sound short for something (Helen?) and also makes me think "not on your nelly!"
Noa - May be confusion with Noah
Betsy - OK
Nora - OK
Brooke - I like it, I know a really cute little Brooke
Billie - not for me
Marla - OK

My favourite from your list is Nancy.

Other ideas - Marnie, Mally, Dora, Camille

arimae9 · 23/12/2021 15:46

Emmy - cute! I really like it, but it might be better with a longer name like Emily, Emma or Emalyn
Reese - I love Reese for a girl!
Rae - I love this name, but it’s quite short on its own so I would use it as a middle name
Nuala - just no, it just sounds ugly to me
Nancy - it’s ok, but a little old fashioned
Nellie/Nell - not a fan, sounds like it should be short for something
Noa - prefer it on a boy
Betsy - like, but it is a nickname for Elizabeth so I would call her that
Nora - it’s ok
Brooke - love it!
Billie - I love Billie for a girl! It’s a nice name and it’s unusual too
Marla - I like it, it’s quite pretty and uncommon

PoleFairy · 23/12/2021 15:38

Emmy - another who prefers Emmeline I'm afraid. Not Emelia as I know 3 Emmy/Emelia's
Reese - I like this
Rae - not keen. I just still think of a big man called Ray (sorry!)
Nuala - I like. Also like Finuala
Nancy - I like
Nellie / Nell - not keen but I know its popular at the moment
Noa - not keen
Betsy - I like. I also like Bets and Betty
Nora - I like.
Brooke - its ok
Billie - not keen
Marla - really dont like

Other suggestions you may like: Tessa, Mallory, Joss

PanicBuyingSprouts · 23/12/2021 15:31

I like Emmy as a diminutive of Emmeline/Emily

Rae as a diminutive of Rachel, know an adult one and it really does suit her.

Nuala is lovely as is Nell.

I love Betsy but would give Elizabeth as the full name.

Nora is nice and fits with the current trend for older names.

Not keen on your others but then it's not my baby Smile
