Would it sound too much like Penelope pitstop?

@Invisiblewoman1
I have no problem with alliterative names.
I work in schools and have come across some great ones over the years - they tend to really roll off the tongue.
I have to resist the urge to use the surname as well as the first name unnecessarily sometimes- just because the full name is lovely to say. Eg.
'What are you doing, Penelope Pitstop?' when she is the only Penelope in the class.

Luredbyapomegranate · 17/12/2021 00:00

I think she - it has two ps anyway

Totalwasteofpaper · 16/12/2021 21:31

Potentially outing Blush

My headteacher was Penelope Penny (aka 2p)
She was an utterly amazing lady and for that reason alone I reckon go for it.

Came here to say exactly what @constance1 did!
A definite no to Penny Price Grin

Pretty much anything else starting with P is fine though

constance1 · 16/12/2021 20:50
@Scarby9 how about Penny P surname
As long as the P surname isn't Price!

Invisiblewoman1 · 16/12/2021 20:48

Penelope Pitstop was cool. Penelope is a great name. Go for it.

Scarby9 · 16/12/2021 20:46

To be fair, Penelope Pitstop is a great name.

1000umbrellas · 16/12/2021 20:44

As long as you're not also the OP on the Primary school in Pimlico thread I think it's fine!

Moonshine160 · 16/12/2021 20:43

Hmm because of the two p’s in Penelope already I think it would sound a bit too much with a P surname too.

Echobelly · 16/12/2021 20:42

It's not like her peers would know the slightest thing about Penelope Pitstop, so I think it's fine.

DockOTheBay · 16/12/2021 20:41

Depends on the rest of the surname. If your surname is Pritskop I would avoid it.

AmIgoinghomeforXmas · 16/12/2021 20:40

Ok it is the first thing I thought of but my dc wouldn't have a clue what you were talking about.

Megan2018 · 16/12/2021 20:40

I love alliterative names, DD is a Felicity F.
Penelope P is cool.

TulipCat · 16/12/2021 20:40

I have to say, that was the first thing I thought of!
