Worried we chose a bad name!

Our DD is now 10wx- and I’m seeking a bit of external verification that we chose a nice name. Seems silly but I feel like her name hasn’t ‘stuck’. My husband is 100% that it’s her name but I feel like I trip when I say it! Is this normal/weird! I didn’t do this with our son!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don’t think we NEED to know the name (would nice but then I’m nosey) The OP is just saying she doesn’t feel like it’s her baby’s name.

@GCG1 can her name be shortened or is there a nickname you can try instead? When you look at her does another name pop into your head?

Do you not like the name, do you have a different one you wish you’d chosen, or does it just feel funny saying it?

I honestly called my baby “the baby” and a variety of cutesy nicknames for a long time.

His name is quite a “grown up” name so it felt weird saying it. I also called him “baby Frank” rather than just Frank for a while (not his actual name).

He’s 7 months now and I’ve transitioned to using his actual name but it did take me a while. I have no name regrets, I just was used to thinking of him as my little baby rather than his name.

Without knowing the name then no one can answer.

We're going to need to know the name!
