Middle name for Mercy

Any thoughts? I can't think of any that go. Ideas I've toyed with:
Josephine
Matilda
Genevieve
Eliza
But don't seem quite right.

(If you don't like Mercy, please don't tell me 🥺 I just want middle name ideas. Please be kind!)

I think a short name with a hard sound at the end would work best. Think Mercy Gwen, Mercy Jane etc. I think having the E sound at the end of the first name and at the beginning of the second is unpleasant sounding.

If you're going to use Mercy, you really need to think hard about the middle name. Some of these suggestions have been awful.

My nan was called Mercy Elizabeth Geaves so I've always loved that name and we used to just call her Meg. I do think Elizabeth goes well with Mercy .

I like Mercy. Ever read the book, Mercy? It's a kids book- historical fiction about a puritan settlement invaded by Native Americans. One of my favourite books as a kid.

I'd go with something simple, like Anne or Jane.

This is a terrible summary- it's more about the kids who are kidnapped than about the settlement.

Tried saying various names (not out loud Grin and one or three syllable+ middle names seem flow better.

Mercy is beautiful. The first thing that popped into my head was Jane but seeing your list Evangeline as a middle name would be perfect!

I actually love Evangeline as a full name too. I've never considered it before! It's beautiful! Smile
