Hi all, hoping for some inspiration! Surname starts with an M, and I really like alliterative names. First baby, so nothing to match with etc.

Ideally I’d like something that’s not too popular, which would give them a good chance of being the only one in the class….

Open to all suggestions! Thanks

Magdalena is beautiful.
I also love Madeleine.

My favourite 'M' boys name is Max.

Certainly, Kenneth is the English-language form of a Gaelic male name that is based on a word meaning 'handsome'.

But Mac is a Gaelic prefix that means 'son of'.

But I really, really, really don't want to be impolite.

Also love the name Manon, and was delighted to meet a little girl with it.... until I heard others calling her mannun, like Shannon. It might depend where you live how it will be pronounced.

@TheVanguardSix

Manon for a girl. Such a beautiful name.

Absolutely love the name Manon.
I also love my auntie's name Milada, but it's a very Czech name, so a bit niche.
I also like Milou, Minna, Mirabella, Malaika, Marion

This is my friend's name but she's always called Manonne as English people don't pronounce it properly.

@lucascriesalot

My eldest son is named Milton.
That's a lovely name. It does make me think of the sterilising fluid to begin with but only briefly. I actually really like it 💙
scottishnames · 09/12/2021 19:12

Mackenzie literally means 'Son of Kenneth' ; seems a very odd choice for a girl.

GrannytoaUnicorn · 09/12/2021 19:11

My daughter is called Mackenzie which I was unsure about due to it being so unusual but oh wow....She's definitely a Mackenzie!! I cannot imagine her with any other name, she's an absolute firecracker! Grin

For a boy I like Max
