Just that really. What are people's thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Hoesbeforebroes · 08/12/2021 01:05

OP are you genuinely considering naming a child this? Or just having a chat to kill some time?

I might start a thread about the name Shyte and see what people think...

@mrstea301

After the DJ?

If your heart is set on it, there's a lovely Irish boys name that's pronounced Tige, it's spelt Tadhg.

Presuming she's not Irish, why would this be better?
Shehasadiamondinthesky · 08/12/2021 00:28

It will be spelt wrong his entire life.

CiaoForDiNiaoSaur · 08/12/2021 00:27

@Staryflight445

You names your child Mary Jane whilst knowing it’s a reference to whacky backy? Interesting…
Mary Jane is a reference to wacky backy???
Glitteringduck · 08/12/2021 00:23

It's an awful name. Are you young?

rainbowdashsneeze · 08/12/2021 00:16

@SiobhanSharpe

There's a young actor called Tiger or Tyger. Believe his parents were in the business too (sort of...) Perhaps nay in the circs?
Yeah the porn business
Enough4me · 08/12/2021 00:15

It's not April fool's day.

Luredbyapomegranate · 07/12/2021 23:43

You are joking I am sure.

liveforsummer · 07/12/2021 20:04

Like tiger?? Wtf, no..... 🙈

user1493494961 · 07/12/2021 19:22

Awful.

LoveFall · 07/12/2021 19:04

Here is the definition for "taiga":

www.dictionary.com/browse/taiga

The Oxford English dictionary has a similar definition. It is pronounced tie-ga.

I think it is a quite nice possible name. It is the name for a brand of outerwear or was. In Canada.

TheCreamCaker · 07/12/2021 18:39

no

Shallwegoforawalk · 07/12/2021 17:21

Bet this is a windup, anyone who has ever read Baby Names on Mumsnet would know what reaction they'd get GrinGrinGrin

santasmuma · 07/12/2021 17:19

Tyga = tie gah / Tiger = tie grr

Not the same sound but equally shit as names.

Hell no.

A very irresponsible and unfair thing to do to a child....

@StrychnineInTheSandwiches

This will be the only time I say it but, Tiger is a better name.
^^ Agree with this
Cas112 · 07/12/2021 16:51

A lot of people will assume he's named after the hip hop artist

Tee20x · 07/12/2021 16:50

I actually quite like it!

I know a boy called Tyla, which could be an alternative.

MinnieJackson · 07/12/2021 16:21

I can't read it without saying it in a New York accent, like judge judy.

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 07/12/2021 16:19

Nay, nay and thrice nay.
