And what middle names do you like?

I quite like
Zara(h) Josephine and Zara(h) Joy

Any other suggestions?

I prefer Zara; I don't think the h adds anything. Zara Josephine sounds lovely.

Zara Clementine
Zara Miriam
Zara Yasmin
Zara Bethany
Zara Violet
Zara Daniella
Zara Phoebe
Zara Tabitha

Zara. Or if with a h the h should be in the middle, as PPs have said.

Zarah just looks really odd and I think makes a beautiful name much less beautiful. Is it pronounced any differently?

Flutterflybutterby · 06/12/2021 05:43

Oops! I thought I'd replied on this, but it hasn't sent. I'm British but don't live in the UK, although family and friends do so don't want a name that looks silly in the UK! I know in the UK it's usually Zara but in my husband's culture it's Zarah, which is why I'm unsure which to go for - DH prefers Zarah as it's from his culture.

Zara.

Unless Zahrah as the Arabic / Asian name.

Not a pointless mash up.

luverlybubberly · 05/12/2021 10:45

Zarah looks like a typo for Sarah
Zahra or Zara looks better imo. If you live in England then people would assume Zara was how it's spelt.

MatildaIThink · 05/12/2021 10:29

Zara over Zarah by a mile, Zarah looks like you either can't spell or want your child to be "unique" and have to spend their life telling people how to spell their name.

AuntDympna · 05/12/2021 10:25

Zara for simplicity.
Zahra with the h pronounced is so pretty - it is a Persian name.
Azariah is lovely too.

Gooseysgirl · 05/12/2021 06:57

I got an Asian friend called Zahra - I love that spelling. Zarah is nice too but I agree it's a bit like Sarah, so would probably go with no 'h' or the 'h' in the middle.

Zara Josephine

meadowbleu · 05/12/2021 05:25

Zara Josephine

Mrsbrand2019 · 05/12/2021 03:28

My 6 year old is Zarah Ashley

NellyDElephant · 05/12/2021 03:22

My best friend is a Zahra. I like it spelt that way, but that’s because it suits her and I’m used to it I guess. All other spellings of it look wrong to me!

DoucheCanoe · 05/12/2021 03:05

Zara Joy is nice :)

Anystarinthesky · 05/12/2021 02:39

I like Zara Joy.

EurghCobwebs · 05/12/2021 01:15

Zara seraphine? Similar to Josephine.

urbanbuddha · 05/12/2021 00:51

Zarah Joy. Or Jean.

Luredbyapomegranate · 05/12/2021 00:50

Zara Joy
Zarah is younique and silly

DramaAlpaca · 05/12/2021 00:48

Zara

I like both Zara Joy and Zara Josephine. Choose whichever sounds best with the surname.

sageandbasil · 05/12/2021 00:48

I used to work with two Zahras both were Arabic so people would assume your DD is with that spelling

ErrolTheDragon · 05/12/2021 00:45

Zara Joy . Josephine is ok but I don't think it goes as well, too many syllables.

MissCruellaDeVil · 05/12/2021 00:45

Zara

storkstalk · 05/12/2021 00:44

Zara

HerRoyalNotness · 05/12/2021 00:43

Now I’ve seen with the H, I like this spelling

I like Josephine over joy as a MN

Zara Joy is lovely.

sorryforswearing · 05/12/2021 00:41
