Phoebe - love it, have one
Matilda - strong, but dislike nn Tilly
Florence - nice, vintage but bad nn
Olivia - like Liv
Isabella - too frilly for me, prefer Isobel
Grace - dull

Olivia 8/10 pretty
Florence 7/10 classic
Phoebe 6/10 don't hate but a bit meh
Matilda 6/10 Bit bored of it now but not an awful name
Isabella 5/10 don't really feel any way about it, prefer just Bella though

  1. Florence -lovely but less keen on nn Flo/Flossie (Florrie's okay).
  2. Olivia - like this despite it's extreme popularity - Shakespearean elegance.
  3. Isabella - prefer simple Isabel, but very pretty
  4. Grace - just too overused now because of all the girls with it as a middle/hyphenated name as well.
  5. Phoebe - never liked the sound of it, personal taste
  6. Matilda - strong name with some cool namesakes, just not a particular fave.

I think you also have to consider what nick-names might follow as she grows up.

For example, Phoebe could become Feebs or Bee.
Florence = Flo, Flossi or Flozza
Olivia = Ollie, Liv, Livvy or Livva
Matilda = Matty, Tilly or Mazza

I like all of them apart from Isabella and Matilda, Isabella becomes Izzy is too popular for me personally and Matilda I just can’t stop thinking of the film.

I’ve never been keen on Florence.
Phoebe, Grace and Olivia are all ok.
