Traditional names for boys that aren’t super popular?

I love unusual names - for example I was set on Cosmo, but DH absolutely hates it.

DH prefers traditional names like George or Harold, but for various reasons can’t use Harold and half of little boys seem to be George or William or Henry! Any traditional names which are slightly less popular? I am struggling!

I don't think he'd thank you for being named Clarence, Cyril or Cecil. Such wussy names.

Hugh I would like, but my father is Hugo so think it would be too similar.

Hugh immediately sprang to mind - simple, traditional and very underused. Or maybe classic Phillip (Pip/Flip would be very cute on a little one).

My older DS (aged 12) is at school with a Peter. A child Peter of which there are few, as opposed to an adult Peter of which there are a couple of teachers.

I was a bit Hmm when I first heard it, but love it now. His younger brother is Michael. Their surname is very unusual though, so it is rather charming, IMO.

OP I have a Hector and he's the very best and I don't hear any babies with that name or indeed older children

Ivo I like. Rex is fantastic but normally short for Reginald which I’m not 100% sure on…although is also a family name which would be nice.

Max, Peter and Barbary all ex boyfriends so definitely out I’m afraid!
