Which do you prefer for a girl?

Rose 😍

Honkytonkyhonky · 27/11/2021 00:20

I love them both-both classic strong names
Eva is just gorgeous too but I work with one and the poor lass is always having to say ‘it’s Eva not Ava’
I’d keep that in mind

MonsteraDeliciosa · 27/11/2021 00:14

What could be more beautiful than a rose 🌹?

Elisemum · 24/11/2021 09:22

Both are lovely, you can’t go wrong here.
They are popular so what? Nothing wrong with that. Much prefer a “popular” rose and eve than some made up wanna be cool names

bowhair · 24/11/2021 06:20

I find Rose such a lovely name.

Heartdogs · 23/11/2021 23:50

Either. Both are beautiful. I prefer Rose. I love all names with Rose in them. Roseanna, Roseanne, Rosalind, Rosemary, Rosie. Beautiful!

azimuth299 · 23/11/2021 23:27

They are both lovely but they are also both REALLY popular at the moment!

JollyJoon · 22/11/2021 22:25

Love both. How refreshing to see some non drippy girls names on here.

Luredbyapomegranate · 22/11/2021 22:22

Both lovely - I’d go for Rose because Eve and ALL its variations are way overdone.

Mind you Rose/Rosie and Rosa are way overused too, so if you could go for a less common variation eg Rosanna, Rosemary.. I would

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 22/11/2021 20:49

Tough one - both simple, elegant and gorgeous imo . Rose might be a touch more classic and romantic sounding but I'd give the edge to Eve - it's one of the the most underused of the "Ev" names (so I definitely wouldn't use very popular Evie, Eva or Evelyn if you like Eve as much), plus has a kind of cool "vibe" too as it's a palindrome and used in a lot of Sci- Fi/Fantasy novels and films (because it means "life" and Eve is thought of as the first woman etc).

nitsandwormsdodger · 22/11/2021 20:28

DramaAlpaca · 22/11/2021 20:23

Love both, but Rose just takes first place.

danascully96 · 22/11/2021 18:33

@EurghCobwebs Evangeline “Eva” Rose is lovely! Thank you ❤️

Evangeline Rose?

Eva Rose for short?

resm · 22/11/2021 16:08

Eve, but like both.

RosieRoww · 22/11/2021 16:00

Eva Rose sounds nice.

FoggySpecs · 22/11/2021 15:58

Just Eve. Beautiful.

EmotionallyWeird · 22/11/2021 15:51

Eve! I've always liked it and it's nice to hear the simpler version instead of Evie for a change. I do like Rose too, and especially as a first name, where it's less often heard, but Eve has the edge for me.

SallyWD · 22/11/2021 14:19

Both are nice but I prefer Rose. I prefer Eve to Eva simply because I know a lot of little Evas.

DukkaDukka · 22/11/2021 12:06

I love Eva but the playground is a sea of Eve/Evie/Evelyn’s at the minute and Rose is one of the default middle names for girls currently. Both are massively popular.

Skeumorph · 22/11/2021 09:54

They are both ok but just too popular.

DontKnowWhatToThink7 · 22/11/2021 09:34

I love Eve

Iamthemaid · 22/11/2021 09:33

Both nice but prefer Rose

Edenember · 22/11/2021 09:32

This is difficult as I adore both of these. I’m going to say Eve as a first as it’s the longest standing favourite on my list, and I feel it’s more versatile - Rose is very feminine. I also prefer Evie as a pet form (have an irrational dislike of Rosie despite loving Rose). You can’t go wrong though, both are beautiful - extremely tough choice.
