Alan is 55 and a property surveyor. He has a couple of stone to lose and he'll get round to it one day. He likes rugby and is a regular at his local pub quiz with a team he's played on for 8 years.

Alice is a slightly plump, pleasant and unassuming woman in her 20s.
She works in the civil service, and has a good pension plan.

She rides her bike to work, and always makes sure she wears reflective clothing when doing so.

When she was 19, she was in an abusive relationship, and is currently exploring her attraction to women, by meeting them for coffee, and scheduling her flexi time so she can have afternoons of unbridled passion on her floral bedspread.

Lilith is the Head of Nursing for surgery at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, she has thick dark curly hair, rather beady green eyes and rarely smiles. She is not especially liked in her job but she’s efficient and gets things done.

Lilith lives in a beautifully furnished light and airy flat with her cat Florence, who’s clearly named after Miss Nightingale.

Staff at the hospital would be very surprised to learn at at the weekend, when she’s not on call, Lilith likes nothing more than dressing up in PVC and attending BDSM parties.

Nicholas is a patrician looking academic with pale grey eyes who cycles at the weekends. His blond hair is thinning and he favours a slightly tweedy look but under the mustard cords he has the smooth waxed legs of a teenage girl.

Lilith

Holly has curly brown hair and rather goofy teeth. Her birthday is on Christmas day and she adores Christmas. She wears Christmas tree earrings with flashing lights for the whole of December. She's a domicilliary carer and her service users adore her. She's not allowed to wear a Christmas jumper for work but no one objects to her reindeer antlers.

Nicholas

Clementine lives in a house where she has her own en suite and the fridge has naice ham in. She's independent and enjoys learning. Her parents encourage her to be both academic and creative. She makes friends easily and is confident but not cocky. Reliable, sensible and privileged but hopefully aware of that privilege.

How about Holly...

Florence is very well spoken, young, and pretty. Her dad works in some kind of posh job that means she travelled around a lot (internationally) as a child and as a result is fluent in Spanish, French and Mandarin due to the various locals nannies employed to take care of her over the years. Her family own a beautiful, large country house which her mum rents out for weddings during the summer, not because she needs the money but because she enjoys the hustle and bustle of lots of people in the place and it keeps her busy.

Despite her family money and exciting childhood, Florence is a little scatty. She rents a flat at the moment as she's studying at Royal Holloway, but returns home often. Her friends are always surprised that she lives as though she doesn't hage lots of money - she likes shopping in charity shops and takes the bus everywhere, which she always misses.

Clementine

Jim is a very overweight 45 year old. He manages the accounting software for a large multinational. He doesn’t like his job and he doesn’t like the commute. He doesn’t like his wife. Every night he watches Wet and Messy videos on Pornhub but he doesn’t even feel turned on by them anymore. He looks forward to the annual Monopoly promotion at McDonalds.

Tim is a 43, year old accountant, plump and bespectacled and quietly spoken. He's socially awkward and tries a bit too hard. He has a secret crush on Rowena in the office, Rowena has no idea and thinks his name is Jim.

Clarice

Peter was born Petra and has transitioned recently. He's loving life after finally being true to himself. He is 28 and works as a primary school teacher. Although he's thinking of doing another degree and becoming a social worker. He's quite reserved and measured but when you get to know him he's got a wicked sense of humour and a wild side.

He loves animals, has two cats and lives in a terraced house he bought when he was 25.

Jasmine is embarrassed by her name which should belong to a pretty petite blonde. Sadly our Jasmine is tall and clumsy with straight mousy hair. She doesn't take herself seriously, has a great sense of humour and calls herself Jazzy.

Peter

Jasmine likes to be known as Jazz. She’s in her early twenties and works in the pub her boyfriends mum owns. She isn’t ambitious. She’s very dreamy and rather boring, but does have a wicked sense of humour, which makes her fun on a night out. Her favourite colour is white.

Tim

Richard, or Rich as he prefers to be called, has Small Man Syndrome. He’s sensitive about this and likes to tell people that he might be short but he’s packing it in the boxer department.

Jasmine

Richard is a smart middle aged man. Wears glasses, has PHDs coming out of his ears and in his spare time can play obscure musical instruments. Likes corduroy trousers and bow ties.

Pixie

Francesca is small with long dark curly hair. She’s an anaesthetic trainee and although she’s funny and entertaining she takes the job very seriously. She gets on well with the nurses unlike Marc the other trainee who’s a twat.

Reuben

Francesca is 30, a bit plump, with long, thick dark hair. She dresses in slightly arty, richly coloured clothes. She's part owner of a kennels-cum-cattery and in her free time, show-jumps. She's never short of a boyfriend but has no wish to settle down, and since she prefers animals to children, no wish to start a family.

Richard

Carly is bubbly and blonde with curly hair. She’s early twenties and studying business at uni after a few false starts and a gap year or two. She has a heart of gold and dotes on her steady boyfriend, who doesn’t seem that fussed really.

Francesca

George is a solid sensible sort who’s had an ISA since he was 19. He’s now 37 and has the family receding hairline which worries him slightly.

Carly

It’s 1992 and Natasha is a tall, thin model who doesn’t keep in touch with her parents. She smokes Marlboro Lights and always keeps a spare pair of 15 denier tights in her handbag.

George

Verity is a twelve year old very plain-looking girl with mousy brown hair and a few freckles. Verity is very sensitive and a bit of a wet fish.
