Asher

Simon was brought up in a religious household. The youngest of 6 children, he was overlooked and had a very elaborate inner life.
His father always said grace before meals while the whole family held hands. Christmas was most definitely about Jesus without much else.
Simon managed to break free, somewhat. He’s in his mid forties and works for a children’s charity. He’s married to Lizzie and they have one son born by IVF, his family don't know this as they wouldn’t approve.
He’s a kind father. He spends a lot of time in the garden room trying and mostly failing to write his first novel.

Kate is a civil servant who married her child hood sweet Daniel. He's addicted to porn, they're looking forward to a holiday in Tenerife at easter and she's recently got a french bull dog.

Asher

Simon is 45 and works in IT but isn't that interested in it but it pays the bills. He owns his own flat in Basingstoke, is single and plays 5 a side football at the weekend and is a valued member of the local pub quiz team.

Kate

Clare is a hairdresser. She has blonde highlights and black roots and wears lots of jewellery which clanks about whilst she is attending to clients. She wears a Pandora bracelet bought for her by her long time boyfriend Darren. They have been together ages, aren't married because according to Darren, it's just a piece of paper. They have 2 boys who are quite boisterous. Every birthday Darren buys her another charm to go on the bracelet. He does the same for the other woman he had been having an affair with for the last 3 years. It keeps things nice and simple for him.
Clare tends to wear black when she is working and chews gum. She is thin and smokes. Her house is grey, very tidy and glittery. A homage to Mrs Hinch.
She drives an Audi and has points on her licence.

Light hair and light eyes. Painfully shy as a child. However morphs into an extremely out going some may say cocky and over confident child.

Leo

Makes candles to sell in her beauty salon. Dreams of travel. Recently divorced and wanting adventure. Has started attending a local book club and Pilates

Deepa

Maxwell is a business manager in a photocopier firm. He started renting an allotment as aspires to live a green and low carbon footprint. After driving to B&Q, not on the High street and a lot of Amazon purchasing from China Maxwell had all the gardening equipment he needed to grow his veg. Maxwell visited the allotment twice, stared at it, dug around a bit, got a blister and decided Waitrose Dutchey range was far more appealing and popped there before going home to get ready to meet friends in the local micro ale bar.

Chester is a 12 year old domestic short hair. He’s almost completely white, save for a ginger spot on the top of his head. Chester has at least 3 other families that his first family do not know about. His first family also do not know that when they are in bed, Chester likes to lick the edges of the butter dish, that has been left out on the side.

Maxwell

He is 15 and was an absolute terror as a young child. He has since ‘found’ music and spends all of his time in his music cave (bedroom) listening to obscure indie vinyls bought off the internet.

Next up is Chester.

Ruth is mid 40s with a light brown, mouse bob and is a management consultant.
She is perfectly nice and perfectly normal is every way. Pleasant husband, two well behaved kids, lives in the suburbs and commutes into London to her client.
Did well at school, was earnest and keen in her approach to learning, never got into trouble.
Secretly wishes she had rebelled a bit more and pushed the boundaries throughout her life. Feels she could have done more and really excelled but has been too nice along the way. Not too unhappy with mediocrity as long as everyone else is happy and things are going well.

Erin is 23 and a newly qualified teacher. Erin was raised in a Devon village by her parents Laura, a homemaker and Richard a GP. She had a pony as a child and loved being in the pony club.

Erin’s just started in her first job in a secondary school in Lewisham that’s just been put into special measures. She’s absolutely terrified but desperately wants to Make A Difference as she’s very aware of how privileged her upbringing was. Erin reads the Guardian and buys her clothes in charity shops. She’s lovely but a bit of an innocent. She’s looking forward to Christmas at home with her parents but is anxious about telling them that she’s gay.

Erin is very slim with mid brown glossy hair and brown eyes. She runs a lot, hence her svelte figure.
She is single and works as a research scientist at a university.
She often rides her bicycle to work or walks. She wears low heeled shoes as she is conscious of her height.
She knows her fellow colleague Matthew fancies her, but the attraction is not mutual. She would much rather be with her older, female boss.

Sarah is mid 40s. She is nurse and is married to Thomas. She is petite and very pleasant.
She enjoys going for long costal walks with her Labrador and teenage son. She also paints and is a talented artist. Her husband is very easy going and agrees with all her decorative descisions. Her bathroom is white and blue and she has a collection of shells she had collected from the beach.

Sarah is slim, has reddish-brown hair, and is short. When she was a child she went to dance school and was very spoilt by her mum who thought she was the best at everything, so now Sarah has some bad qualities - she's a bit smug, still, and still feels superior to others. She is a single mum to a little boy called Oscar, she doesn't speak with the dad, she views him as a slightly embarrassing mistake and feels that Oscar is probably better off with just her because of her superior parenting skills anyway. She lives in a rented new-build that is decorated with a lot of grey and she likes to take photos of it for Instagram.

Erin

I think Ashleigh got missed. She's short and blonde, recently qualified as a teacher and her hobbies include walking the dog and doing sponsored charity things like parachute jumps.

Sarah

Balonz is 28 and goes by the name Ben.
His parents wanted a quirky ‘out there’ name for their first born son and agonised for months before settling on the name.
Family and friends kept quiet but poor Balonz was teased terribly as a child.

As soon as he was old enough he changed his preferred name to Ben. He didn’t like that his name meant Balloon and that some people refer to their testicles as ‘ballonz’...

Nora is mousey, in hair colour and demeanor. She's incredibly smart but too shy to let on. She works in astrophysics and is in love with her female Co worker, even though she has a boyfriend. She eats little and often and wear knitted vests.

Nelly is frightened of life. She still lives at home at 35, with her mum. Her bed is full of her childhood teddies, everything is pink and lacy. She manages to work part time as a charity shop manager. Her colleagues are always trying to get her to go out with them, they like her, but she can’t quite bring herself to. She loves Disney and is trying to muster up the courage to visit Disneyland, at least the Paris one. She dreams about a generic Prince Charming.
This year she has organised the work secret Santa, she is obsessing over what to get the teenage lad volunteer.
