  • Dorothea or Perdita - both lovely and not overused
  • Margot if you spell it properly (but for Christ's sake not Margaux - Margot Hemingway's parents originally spelt her name like that because they were screaming alcoholics). It's very popular though.

Tabitha, Annabella, Jemima - quite nice

Sophia - lovely but way overused

Aurora - lovely but seems v of the minute so will date
Orla - OK, had a moment, bit dated if you aren't Irish
Araminta - just daft
Belle - ditto
Anoushka - daft unless you're Russian

I love Sophia but prefer it spelt Sofia.

Margo is lovely and I love the way you've spelt it without the T. In my opinion, Margot looks like Maggot.

Annabella is beautiful.

I like Aurora, Jemima & Belle.

I love Araminta.

what an eclectic list!
My thoughts:

Sophia - fine
Dorothea - fine
Margaux - no, and definitely not this spelling
Margo - spelling is better, but I don't like the name
Tabitha - nice (but I do think of it as a cat!)
Annabella - nice
Aurora - too disney
Jemima - fine, not my cup of tea
Araminta - bit flowery, but kind of like it
Belle - and the beast - no
Anoushka - only if you have French/Russian connections otherswies try hard.
Perdita - hmm, no
Orla - fine

My reactions, for what they’re worth…

I love Aurora but would avoid it because that’s what sleeping beauty is called and when she’s a teen she won’t welcome all the ‘do you need a kiss’ jokes.

I like Perdita

Not Margaux she’ll spend her life explaining the spelling.

Rest are quite nice, although all the Anoushkas I’ve met have been Indian so depending on your heritage that might be something to bear in mind.

If it makes any difference I know 5 margots born this year so I think it might be in the up…
I love Dorothea and Tabitha
Really dislike Perdita and Araminta
Rest are ok.

Quite like Perdita (unusual)
I like Orla but it's reasonably well used.

Don't like Aurora (too Disney)
Sophia - boring
Dorothea - no, Dorothy is a very plain name and it sounds weird to give it a fancy ending
Margaux - weird spelling
Margo - put a T on it
Annabella - too prissy for me
Jemima - ok
Araminta - sounds like a joke posh name
Belle - no - Disney again
Anoushka - ok but quite a mouthful to live with and spell. It WILL get shortened to something. Are you Russian? It sounds it.
