Why are boy names so hard to pick!

Does anyone know any unique but nice boy names? (If that makes sense!🤣)
I was convinced I was having a girl and had plenty of beautiful names lined up. I've recently found out I'm having a boy and literally can't think of any names!
HELP!☺️🧡
Due April 22

I was the total opposite of you - had loads of boys names but had a girl! We liked Woody, Dominic, Maxwell, Wulfric (Nn Wolfie) and Jody.

StampOnTheGround · 10/11/2021 15:14

@chelev9 baby no name is our best bet so far 😂 I'm due the 12th 🥰

Angus, NN Gus
Jesse
Tate
Silas
Cosmo
Percy
Orson

All pretty cool and not terribly common?

batsinmetv · 10/11/2021 07:30

Sebastian
Patrick
Edward
Louis

The thing to do, is keep telling your husband the ones you love. Tell him why you love them

He may grow to love the names and when baby is born, he will probably give in 😂

We also chose Francis for our son who is now mid 20’s. Throughout school, uni and now work there has never been anyone else with his name.

custardbear · 10/11/2021 07:17

Hunter
Jasper
Casper
Conrad

What about a family surname (that's not your actual surname lol) thinking that some Scottish surnames that work as first names like
Campbell
Fraser
Forbes
Any names in your families that may suit?

MrsCardone · 10/11/2021 07:16

I met a boy called Kingsley the other day. Which I think is a pretty cool name.

@StampOnTheGround

No suggestions, but I'm hopping on this thread, also due April 22 and we do not like any boys names. Might have to wait till he's old enough to talk and choose his own at this rate! 😂
Aww really! What date in April? I'm due on the 6th! Haha that makes two of us 🤣 "baby no name"! It was the name with my son who is 8 now. He didn't have a name for at least a week!🤣 xxx

@Musmerian

If it’s normal it’s not unique! Unique literally means it’s the only one so inaccurate anyway.
I think most of us get the gist of what I meant.

@Musmerian

For those of us old enough to remember Judy Blume’s ‘Forever’ Ralph is a no no!
Indeed!

Yes!! And that got me thinking of “we must, we must, we must increase our bust” from ‘Are you there God it’s me, Margaret’. Ahhh… simpler times Grin

The pedant in me has to point out that unique means one of a kind. You mean well known but not commonly used.

Iamnotthe1 · 09/11/2021 06:52

If you're giving a more unique name, it can be good to use one which can shorten to a more typical name as it gives the child options as they get older. Names like:

Finnian (Finn)
Tobin (Toby)
Roscoe (Ross)
Lucias (Luke)
