Oh god no
I know a Cecil, he's in his 40's, he goes by the name of Dave.
Refuses to acknowledge the name he was christened with.
I don't blame him

Hungry Horace. Going back a few decades to be fair. Bit like Pac-Man. I don't like the sound of it at all, no matter how many times I say it.

Sorry but it's awful. There were two old bachelor brothers in my home town called Horace and Cecil, both equally terrible names.They would be well over 100 now if they were still alive.

When I hear the name Horace I automatically think ‘The best of luck’. This is due to a man in North London called Horace who regularly used to say it - I realise most people won’t have the same connection!
