Should I name my baby girl Samar ?

Been thinking of Arabic names and so far Samar has been my favourite.

What do you think of it as a little girl’s name ?

My mil recommended Irha but I’m not a big fan of it

Are you from that culture? It might be a bit odd if you're not. I prefer Samar to Irtha.

I like it, although Irha is also nice. Do you think people might shorten Samar to "sam", and if they did would you mind it?
