I’m having a little girl next week!!! And she still doesn’t have a 100% name.

What names would you use?

Luna or Stella
or Mo which wouldn't be short for anything, but it might be an annoying name to have if people often asked what it was short for.

@EmmaOvary - really interesting reply, thank you. I still think your name is so gorgeous but I suspect if I have a DD I'll wimp out and possibly go for something shorter/simpler like Cassia instead Blush - just in case she's a shy child and hates being asked about her name!

Esme wouldn't have worked with the last name. None of my DDs quite looked like a Louisa or a Mary Jane.

DH wasn't into nature names ☹️

@IamnotwhouthinkIam I like it now. I hated having a 'different' name as a kid but everyone has always asked about it and admired it and as an adult I can appreciate having an unusual name as a good thing. I go by Cassie, though, it's hard to spell! I think your daughter would probably abbreviate it if you went with that.

@EmmaOvary - I adore Cassiopeia! I've never met one in RL but it was my favourite girls name as a child and I always wanted to use it if I have a daughter (but don't know I'd be brave enough now I'm older, in case she hated it). Do you like your name?
