I’m having a little girl next week!!! And she still doesn’t have a 100% name.

What names would you use?

Oooh, exciting! I think a lot depends on which surname she will have and how the two will run together (my DH actually worked with a woman called Mary Christmas - she had been christened thus). Longer names have lots of potential for NNs - Charlotte, Georgina, Elizabeth, etc, although our pub landlady's name was Beryl as her father hated diminutives. Then he called her, "My little Bubbles" until the day he died.

We gave our daughter a Welsh name from the Mabinogion - a book of folk tales - which was a problem for us living on the south coast of England as no one could pronounce it; our son had a biblical name and was one of four of them in his class at school.

My mother waited until my sister, her first, was born, and then, picking a name at random said, "Oh, hello [insert name], how lovely to meet you!" Flowers
