Hi all,

My hubby and I are almost set on calling our baby girl Delilah. We both really like it and think that it's a pretty name. Plus a lot of you probably know the song Hey there Delilah. One of the lyrics is "what's it like in New York City" and we just realised that we want to name her Delilah, and we got engaged in NYC. It just gave it more special meaning.

Our second option is lorelei, which we also love but I think I might be leaning towards Delilah more. We can always save Lorelei for baby number 2 if we have another girl in the future.

Thoughts? Which one do you prefer?

Delilah - sounds like the perfect name for your daughter :)

Delilah 😊. Love the personal meaning for you too.

Delilah by a long, long way!

TrussOnABus · 31/10/2021 20:09

Delilah for sure! Lorelei is a bit of a mouthful and I'm not sure how you pronounce it?

DramaAlpaca · 31/10/2021 20:08

Delilah by a very long way.

I'm sorry, but the other option is awful - do you know about the legend, where she lures sailors to their deaths? It's a creepy association.
