Baby brother to Dorothy

Hi,

We are expecting a boy and we are looking for name suggestions!! Our daughter is Dorothy Claire and we think baby boy’s middle name will be John, last name starts with M, two syllables.

Throw me some suggestions please :) thank you!!

The young Dorothy I know has a brother called Edmund, although I'm not certain how it would sound with your 'M...' surname. It's a very solid, proper name.

I think someone has already suggested Francis - Frank.

I like both Martin and Miles but unfortunately doesn’t really work with the last name :(

HAHAHA we actually call her Dory sometimes. That’s also why we can’t have John as a first name, John Dory!! Somethings a bit fishy there :p

Love Dorothy Claire, so pretty.

As for a boys' name, my immediate thought was Nicholas, not sure why! Henry would also be good.

Nioclas was my first thought too Also Dorothy and Matthew Dorothy and Andrew Dorothy and Theodore Love the name Dorothy, one of my favourites The Dorothy's l know have siblings Dorothy and William Dorothy and Laurence Dorothy and James Dorothy and Toby Dorothy and Douglas These Dorothy's are all much older..60s/70s

Please not Walter! My favourite grandfather was Walter so the name has lovely connotations but it was often shortened to Wally... ☹️

Thank you all! We both quite like Stanley (but husband isn’t sure about Stanley John because it’s almost like Stanley Johnson) and Tobias but Tobias is the middle name of his slightly abusive grandfather… some lovely suggestions though, thank you!!!
