Teddy James (Last name) Opinions??

I love the name James but that's your surname? 🤔
Teddy? Personally no, but I have a few friends who chose it.

Agree with previous posters, Teddy James is very cute for a little boy but Teddy is too much a nickname for a grown up. Edward or Theodore (or even Edwin or Edmund) with the nickname Teddy is better.

James is a lovely name by the way.

I think Theodore James or Edward James are both lovely.
I like Teddy but I will say from personal experience some dc feel they outgrow the name and are grateful for other options.

Love it

Teddy is very cute for a young child, not so great for an adult. I would go for Edward, Edwin or Theodore and call him Teddy for short and he's still got the option of a stronger name as an adult.

Everything @Kite22 said ^^

I love it, but completely agree with going Edward James so he has options later on.

I think that 'Teddy' is so intrinsically entrenched in everyone's minds as being Teddy Bear, the soft toy we all know and love, anyone given that as a name is going to get teased, or at best it commented upon all their lives.
I wouldn't give it to a child.

I like the name James.

Maybe if you went for Edward, then you could call him Teddy, but give him an alternative if he wanted to use it later in life ?
