Gideon! If I had another boy it would have been my choice. A good biblical name that matches the others.

@WeasilyPleased

I really love the name Abraham and think it goes beautifully. Also like Dinah for a girl. Both Biblical!
Dinah has a very sad story and is basically known for being raped.

I think because of Tabitha Twichit, it has been used as a cat's name. I think it's nice though, and not particularly common.

Carolinesyear · 24/10/2021 11:41

I like Tibi, tabby is a bit cat like but nicknames happen so naturally it's hard to predict

If you don't want it to be too common, like Archie or Finley, then avoid Noah.
Delilah always reminds me of the Tom Jones song!

Maireas · 24/10/2021 08:03

I think the biblical names are nice, and won't date like novelty names ( Cloud, Storm, Winter, August, Wednesday etc)
You could go Judith, Ruth or Esther?
Solomon, David, Issacher, Zebulun?

ThirdElephant · 24/10/2021 08:02

Prudence! The third one was Prudence.

@JuneJuly

I knew someone with the name & never would have considered that. It was just their name. Maybe also because it is pronounced more like Dorcuhs, & you say it more than see it written down.
I'd never heard of it until I watched 'The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'. There were Dorcas, Agatha and another one whose name I forget.

I didn't register the 'ass' at first, but I was definitely struck by the 'dork'.

JuneJuly · 24/10/2021 06:58

@JuneJuly

For girls - Dorcas Keziah - potential nn Lizzy Mireille
Also, obviously the nn was meant to be Kizzy.

Autocorrect!

Not Dorcas! It's a mixture of dork and ass!
