Ava - who cares if it's popular. I mean honestly, why is this even a consideration? If you like the name, use it fgs.

Raya is like ray a sunshine or ray a hope, and the feminine version of a not-nice male name.

Raya is lovely and more unusual.

I've worked in an all girls secondary for the last 5 years and only come across one, although of course that doesn't preclude it getting more popular.

There are a lot of Avas.

I prefer Ava but the popularity would put me off.
I think Raya will see a rise in popularity which will date it.

Ava is lovley but very popular so we're avoiding for that reason.

Raya is beautiful though! Like sunshine

Roya not so much, too much like hemorrhoids for me.
