Can't decide between these three, so I'm asking on here.

Henry

@alexdgr8

not finn. it's not a proper first name. the others are fine. but because prince william is more popular than silly prince harry now, perhaps that has the edge over henry.
What is a 'proper' first name?
Classica · 14/10/2021 20:39

Finn isn't a proper name?

English people need to get out more.

Finn

PricklesTheHedgehog · 14/10/2021 20:32

William

Indoctro · 14/10/2021 20:24

William definitely

Finn is extremely common nowadays

William will never go out of fashion it's a lovely traditional name

BarryTheChopper · 14/10/2021 19:41

Henry
William
Finn

Finn just sounds a bit wet to me.

user1493494961 · 14/10/2021 19:39

Henry.

MadeOfStarStuff · 14/10/2021 18:22

Henry

Not Finn

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 14/10/2021 18:21

William for me. Variety of different style nn's if he wants, plus some great namesakes (the "Conqueror", Wallace, Wilberforce, Pitt, Gladstone, Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Blake, Morris...) classic and perennially popular/timeless but not quite as currently overused as the similarly classic Henry/Harry. Finn is fairly trendy, I'm not sure it will age as well as Henry and William.

Tigger85 · 14/10/2021 13:30

William purely because Finn/Finley seems to be the most popular boys name where we live. I don't think I have come across any little Henry's or Williams in my area.

Lizlou85 · 14/10/2021 11:25

If it was me first choice is Henry and 2nd choice William. Not keen on Finn. I know a Finn who is called F for short!
At least with William he can decide when older if he want to be Will, William, Bill.

Blueberry40 · 14/10/2021 10:30

Definitely Finn

Fivebeanchilli · 14/10/2021 10:29

I really like all of them. My ds is mid teens now but he certainly knows quite a few Finns and Wills but fewer Henrys. I honestly don't think you can go wrong though.

Classica · 14/10/2021 10:27

Finn or Henry.

I've never liked William.

VanillaAndOrange · 14/10/2021 10:19

I like all three, but I think I'd go with Finn as it's more unusual.

CampagVelocet · 14/10/2021 07:59

They're all lovely names but I would say Finn is likely to date more, whereas Henry and William are timeless.

sunnyhoneybumblebee · 14/10/2021 07:56

My son is Henry

Also really like Finn but that's my dogs name xx

Blubells · 14/10/2021 07:12

Henry is lovely

A Finn is a person from Finland 🇫🇮

William contains Willi.

PanicBuyingSprouts · 14/10/2021 06:46

DS knows so many Wills/Williams that they've started addressing one another by their family names as otherwise it's hard for anyone in the year to keep track. Will S for example won't work as there'll be about 3 Will S's in the year.

It's the same with Oliver.

It might be a peculiarity to where we live though, there seems to be a serious lack of variety with boys names especially.

PurplePizzaCake · 14/10/2021 06:36

All great names. Henry is my favourite

RubyReynolds64 · 14/10/2021 06:32
