Can't decide between these three, so I'm asking on here.

My son is named Finn. I love it, of course I'm biased ;)

MrsColon · 26/10/2021 17:11

All three are lovely!

Enough4me · 26/10/2021 17:09

William Henry
Or Henry William

justaweeone · 26/10/2021 17:07

I have a Finlay(18) very few have that name where we live.
He is generally called Fin by friends and family. The other names are lovely as well!

Irishfarmer · 26/10/2021 16:59
@fiddlestick124 I think it was the fourth most popular name for boys last year? It was definitely well in the top ten, it’s been on our shortlist but it’s far too popular, I think. Sadly!
Maybe go for the original full name, Fionn, pronounced fin. My cousin, who's Irish, but married in England said loads of Irish names like Tadhg are pretty popular where he lives even with people who have no Irish connection

Angel2702 · 26/10/2021 10:36

Henry, then William then Finn. I don’t dislike Finn but it has a very different feel to William or Henry.

RestingStitchFace · 26/10/2021 10:31

They are all perfectly fine.
In order of preference:

Finn
William
Henry

Mommybunny · 25/10/2021 23:04

We have a Henry and our surname wouldn’t support a William (though I do like the name). Funnily enough the only Finn I know is DD’s GNB friend who has changed their name from something very feminine.

Thedogscollar · 25/10/2021 22:59

Mumsnet makes me laugh. ALL of these names are popular.

I think they are all lovely names OP. My personal order of choice would be:
Finn
William
Henry

babyboybluex · 25/10/2021 11:28

We have a Finn and it's a beautiful name Smile

It was 76 this year and quite similar the year before! Finley (or Finlay) was 16.

Here's a list for 2020

William Henry, perfect boys name.

Iamanicepersonreally · 24/10/2021 21:39

I've got three Finns/Finleys in my class this year

Hetyanni · 24/10/2021 21:34

Henry

Heartdogs · 24/10/2021 21:33

I don't like Finn at all.
Henry is lovely.
William is also good.

Darceyhemingway · 24/10/2021 21:30

Henry or Finn

GoodnightGrandma · 24/10/2021 21:30

Finn or Will.

SummerLew · 24/10/2021 21:29

My nearly 20 year old is called Finn. It's been in the top 100 for nearly 20ish years now and is still climbing, so I don't expect it will date.
I also really like William but have never warmed to Henry.

fiddlestick124 · 23/10/2021 21:46

@Tigger85

William purely because Finn/Finley seems to be the most popular boys name where we live. I don't think I have come across any little Henry's or Williams in my area.
Where do you live? Finn isn't popular here at all so just wondering where it's big in popularity!
ofwarren · 14/10/2021 21:49

William, then Henry, then Finn.
I'm not keen on Finn at all.

Animood · 14/10/2021 21:25

All three are nice normal names.

Unusual for MN!

CathyorClaire · 14/10/2021 21:24

William.

Would have used it for ds1 had BIL not beaten us to it Angry
Managed to slip it in for ds2 but only as a middle.

Flowiththego · 14/10/2021 21:18

William. I liked Finn once but there are loads and I think it will date. William is timeless.
