Where I live Jack is then always followed by his surname when you’re talking about one.. in fact in my DD’s primary it was Jack T and Jack F. It’s nice though.

Luke is just dull.. so Charlie I think out of those choices .

PanicBuyingSprouts · 14/10/2021 17:48

Where we live Look is pronounced the same as Luke so that would put me off.

Know at least a billion Jacks.

So I think it would have to be Charlie although I'm not a big fan of Urchin Chic names.

Blubells · 14/10/2021 17:17

Lots of votes for Jack and Luke so it’s probably between them two now!

Op, what name do YOU like best? I really wouldn't name my child based on random internet users' preferences.

pinkpanther84 · 14/10/2021 17:09

Although Jack is popular, my Jack is the only one in his school year of 60! I think it's a lovely name that works well for any age

breakforthewest · 14/10/2021 15:54

Luke. It was my choice had dd been ds. Other two are over used

RosyTea · 14/10/2021 15:50

I like Luke, not too common but classic name

Luke - others are overused, as is Lucas

pinkpanther84 · 14/10/2021 10:41

Jack 😍 I have a Jack and I just love his name

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 14/10/2021 10:40

Luke

SnotZinwords · 12/10/2021 17:22

Jack. I am biased though because I have a very lovely, funny and bright Jack.

We have a long surname so wanted a short first name, although we did then give him too middle names Grin

pilates · 12/10/2021 17:18

Jack
Luke
Charlie

OrangeAndYellowAndBlue · 12/10/2021 17:10

Luke is great, definitely my favourite of the 3.

Love2Luv · 12/10/2021 17:08

Surname is like dyson if it helps!

Jack and Charlie are massively overused.
In that case Luke or Lucas

Cantstopthewaves · 12/10/2021 16:27

Luke would be my choice.

Auroreforet · 12/10/2021 16:23

I love Jack.

FWBNC · 12/10/2021 16:20

I like Charlie best, my friend Charlie is in his 40 and he's anything but 'cutsie'

Luke has grown on me since my friends son has been in my life & Jake has too since my cousin named her son that.

Any unfortunate surname things to watch out for?

cptartapp · 12/10/2021 16:17

Luke. I have one.
Jack next.
Would avoid any i.e. Ending names personally as too cutesy.

Firebird83 · 12/10/2021 16:13

Luke. Handsome, classic and less common than the other two.

Love2Luv · 12/10/2021 15:21

@AnnaSW1

Luke.

I like the name Jack but when ever I see it i mentally add -shit to it. So for that reason I wouldn't use it!

For Luke I keep thinking Luke warm ,it’s annoying the associations!

@Timeforwinterclothes I see your point. If it was charlie we’d do Charles on birth cert, so he had a choice as might not want to be Charlie at 40/50! for Jack, I don’t like John much and do think Jack stands on its own okay.
