what do you think of the name Romeo? I really like it and I think the nickname 'Rome' is quite cool and trendy. But also when the baby is toddler and baby the cute nickname 'Ro-Ro' 🤍

Whatever you do, don’t choose the nickname “Rome”.

Geamhradh · 08/10/2021 07:59

Dreadful. Neither cool, or trendy. 148 born in Italy in 2019. Probably after grandfathers. I teach 300 kids and have never known one.

RoRo is the Italian nickname for Rosamaria and other Rosa+ other name combinations.

Romeo Dunn

Is weirdly the first thing that came to my head Hmm

NorthernLion · 08/10/2021 07:55

It's a lot to live up to.

EdgeOfTheSky · 08/10/2021 07:50

No.

It would be awful to be a teenage boy called Romeo. Not just due to the name as in R&J but because how the word is often used www.google.com/amp/s/www.collinsdictionary.com/amp/english/romeo

Constant piss take.

And any nickname considered ‘cool and trendy’ by someone of parent age now certainly will not seem so to a young teen in 13 years time.

Blubells · 08/10/2021 07:47

Romeo is quite nice.

But I really dislike Rome. I wouldn't shorten it.

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 08/10/2021 07:45

I'm not being facetious by the way. I love that name!

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 08/10/2021 07:44

No no no. The best name from Romeo and Juliet is Balthazar, by miles.

Mybalconyiscracking · 08/10/2021 07:43

How about Mercutio or Hamlet?

Mybalconyiscracking · 08/10/2021 07:41

Please don’t.
Poor little sod!

VitalsStable · 08/10/2021 07:41

You'll never be able to call him twice for fear of sounding like a complete dick.

(Please after hearing a woman call her kid over and over last week with everyone looking at each other trying not to piss themselves whilst simultaneously fighting the urge to finish her sent with 'Wherefore art though')

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 08/10/2021 07:39

Utterly awful thanks to Victoria Beckham- for those nicknames I much prefer Roman

alpinerain · 08/10/2021 07:37
