We have a DD due at the end of the year and struggling a little on the name.

Harper, Nova and Harlow are my favourites but I know that Harlow gets a right dragging around these parts 😂

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

They sound like OK names for a business or maybe a dog, but I think a child should have an actual name.
There is lots of great ones out there.

I don’t like any of those, sorry. They all have similar associations-they’re the absolute opposite of classy, and honestly I would have an immediate certain impression upon hearing those names. Sorry, I know that makes me a judgemental twat but I’m being honest because this is a place for honest anonymous opinions and people will be thinking it in real life.

@Colinthecaterpillar35 haha I understand the connotation between the car! I like it because it’s a little ‘out there’ but worry it’s faddy.

@witchlikehazel have friends with both of those names, and not keen on Clover but thank you!

Good Lord! Why would you inflict any of those on a child.

Babydust13 · 28/09/2021 11:13

My favourite is Harper but I also like Harlow I'm not a fan of Nova

witchlikehazel · 28/09/2021 11:10

No to all 3 from me, sorry.
Harlow is a place.
Nova means 'new' to me and doesn't seem like a name.
Harper only going to be a Beckham name now (plus really it's a surname).
What about Holly or Harriet or Clover.

Colinthecaterpillar35 · 28/09/2021 11:08

Ooooo I love Harper! Not keen on Nova, it makes me think of the old Vauxhall Nova!
