I’d love everyone’s opinions on this name for a girl. What do people think?

I like Jenna

HuntingoftheSnark · 30/09/2021 07:33

Great name, excellent Blake's 7 character.

UsernameIsHarderThanBabyName · 30/09/2021 06:46

Love it

TatianaBis · 29/09/2021 11:58

Super 80s American. Very dated.

MagnoliatheMagnificent · 28/09/2021 20:48

I really like it. I have a friend with a daughter called Genevieve who shortens it to Jenna (Or Genna but sounds the same)

annacondom · 28/09/2021 20:05

I'm not terribly keen but it's not awful. Reminds me of Dallas and Dr Who (Jenna Coleman).

FrostedFlakesAreMyJam · 28/09/2021 20:00

beautiful

Leeloo1233 · 28/09/2021 17:41

I don't really like it as it is so common with women my age (30's)

Pemba · 28/09/2021 17:23

Sorry but it seems slightly dated and very American to me. I imagine someone that likes country music and line dancing etc. There are many worse names though.

Jennifer is lovely.

balernobetty · 28/09/2021 16:55

It's lovely, always reminds me on Jenna Wade/Priscilla Presley in Dallas.

Good name, and Jenna in Blake's 7 was seriously kick-ass.Grin

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 28/09/2021 16:48

Jenna is the main character in Waitress.

ILoveShula · 28/09/2021 16:44

@GreenClock

😍 love it

Would have been a bit naff in the 1980s when Dallas was so huge but that’s irrelevant now.

The popularity now may be celebrity inspired. The celebrity in question was born in 1986 and like many of her contemporaries is a -Louise
BubbleCoffee · 28/09/2021 16:43

Jemima nn Jemma is nice IMO.

BubbleCoffee · 28/09/2021 16:42

I prefer Jennifer or Gemma.

millzcrawf · 28/09/2021 16:37

It okay- I don't hate it but also don't love it. Maybe that's because I know a Jenna who is in her 30's ?

Not keen. Gemma and Jenny are much nicer. Jenna tends to sound like Jenner

ilovebw · 28/09/2021 14:39

Lovely name

GloomAndDoom · 28/09/2021 14:33

Nice 👌

FeedMeSantiago · 28/09/2021 14:20

Jenna's a great name, well known but not overused. I went to school with a lovely Jenna, never met another.

witchlikehazel · 28/09/2021 11:16

Ah sorry, OP.
Jenna meaning heaven is lovely.
Name does stand fine on its own.

Mamacita191 · 28/09/2021 11:12

Thanks guys!

It isn’t short for Jennifer, as someone previously mentioned it means heaven in Arabic and we need a name that goes well in Arabic as well as English due to heritage of LO and I’ve always loved Jenna!

Nice - is it short for Jennifer? Maybe find an official name for certificates etc that is more formal?
