Middle name for Lisamarie

Last name sounds like Layhee
Some names I like but can't use are Finnley, Giselle, Jasmin, Bonnie, Dorothy, and Adina, so I guess my name style is already established names that aren't that common or common anymore.
Thanks!

I'd go for a very timeless middle name. Something like Catherine, Elizabeth, Isabel(la)?) that can be diminutised in lots of different ways. Lisamarie is a very late 60s early 70s type of name and doesn't entirely work in the 21st Century.

Thanks for explaining the meaning of honour names OP. I think it's quite a normal tradition now I come to think about it, but maybe for a middle name rather than first?!

X first name LisaMarie as a middle name Layhee

This combination will give you more options as you can still honour the relative but also give your baby a first name of your choice.

DeadButDelicious · 18/09/2021 08:31

The first name that popped into my head was Daphne.

Lisamarie Daphne Layhee.

Monkeytapper · 18/09/2021 07:26

How about Marilyse as a first name ……(lady off married at first sight)…combines Lisa and Marie….sort of.

Mouthfulofquiz · 18/09/2021 07:18

Lisamarie Julia Layhee ?

honeygriff · 18/09/2021 07:07

Lisa Marie May
Lisa Marie Rae

Sittinginthesand · 18/09/2021 07:04

Are you happy if she ends up being known as Lisa? V likely and beyond your control! Lisamairie is quite a mouthful.

It’s also possible that —the tiny number of people who don’t think Presley— won’t know how to pronounce it - it could easily be Lisam-airie, Li-SAM-aree

SarahBellam · 18/09/2021 06:53

Another one here for Presley Grin

My kids have honour names as middle names to get round surname/middle name conundrum. Is this a possibility? If not, the LisaMarie Jean works best.

I personally would go for Lisa-Marie without another middle name and call the baby Marie.

Orphlids · 18/09/2021 05:14

I think a longer name works better. I really like @Happenchance’s suggestion of Angelica. Or

Ceslestine,
Octavia,
Francesca,
Katerina,
Anastasia.

Lisamarie Anne

StarryStarrySocks · 17/09/2021 21:36

@VodselForDinner

How about Marie but pronounced “maah-ree” instead of “mar-ee”?

Lisamarie Marie Layhee.

I think that's the best middle name suggestion I have ever read on here. Bravo!
meadowbleu · 17/09/2021 21:34

Rebecca

CockSpadget · 17/09/2021 21:25

I think you need a short consonant ending name, rather than a vowel sound ending. So like Wynn or Fern, or wren.

LynetteScavo · 17/09/2021 21:23

Lisamarie Priscilla

Ukholidaysaregreat · 17/09/2021 21:13

I can't believe you haven't heard of Lisa Maire Presley!

HitMeWithYourStupidShit · 17/09/2021 21:05

My DC have 'honour names' (though I didn't know there was a word for this sort of thing) in the form of middle names. I wouldn't have given them the name of anyone else in the family, however much I loved that person, because my children are themselves, not miniature versions of an older relative. They may well turn out to be very similar to older relatives, but probably not the ones you intend.

I'd go back to the drawing board, personally. You seem trapped in this Lisamarie cul-de-sac.

PlainJane1000 · 17/09/2021 21:02

I really like the pp's suggestion of Lisamarie Kate.
Or
Lisamarie Claire
Lisamarie Crystal
Lisamarie Fay
Lisamarie Willow
